DO NOT TORQUE TO 9 FOOT POUNDS broke a a bolt bought new ones and BROKE another one just tighten all the way and go half a turn extra

JJ Vandersluis says:

When the guy pulls the side cover off the last fiber clutch plate is installed with the tabs in the short grooves of the clutch basket. When installing the plates, the guy DOESN'T put the last fiber plate in the short grooves of the clutch basket before putting the side cover back on.

Jacob Drain says:

@Rockymountain MC ATV, what do you do about the stock clutch cable resting on the aftermarket exhaust pipes melting it?

Bike Life Hawaii says:

Do not torque to 9 ft pounds

Bike Life Hawaii says:

Yup 9 ft pounds just snapped my bolt

sic semper tyrannis says:

O ya one more key note the last fiber clutch is supposed to be offset from the previous notches. Not sure how much this affects things.

sic semper tyrannis says:

Warning!!! Warning!!! 9lbs is sometime to much for the used oem bolts I just snapped one at 8lbs with a 1/4 in snap on torque wrench. Easy fix they back right out with no spring pressure. Gonna hit the hardware store for new ones.

Boost Addict says:

yeah i followed this, didnt read comments before because he looks professional, but yes outta disc is offset and trust me, doesnt work right with it the way he put it….so just a heads up man, might wanna let people know this is the wrong way.

Flat Top Games says:

Thanks for the torque specs just snapped a bolt

kyle hart says:

What Torque wrench are they using

David Hanning says:

i layed my bolts right in order and took a marker and marked where first boult gos

MrJackoff90001 says:

Could the clutch be the issue if it will start but won't move? I'm looking at buying one with issue. If it is the clutch I can fix it but I don't wanna bite off more than I can chew. What could I possibly be getting into? Any info would be appreciated tremendously and

Carl Larson says:

Excellent video as always!!!

Brandon Smith says:

Hey you should make a video of 2001 Honda 400ex Spindle, Gearshift

Austin Davis says:

Great video, could you possibly make a 2004-2005 Trx450r engine rebuild can't find one anywhere?

Ty Jackson says:

What size dowel pin?

hartmeyer01 says:

FYI 9 ft/lbs on the spring bolts WILL SNAP THE HEADS OF THE BOLT. thanks for nothing.

junky jink says:

I thought on the last outer clutch plate its offset to catch in the notches at the end

Tac says:

Love the quad vids

Savatei Ambanoudis says:

You make it look so much easier I had to do this once on a 08 400x and I questioned if I ever wanted to fix anything ever again the gasket given to me was folded in half to save packaging and after everything was back together it leaked where the gasket folded so I had to tear it back down again and to be sure I used a ton of gasket maker to ensure proper sealing and making sure it doesnt move so the bolts slide in properly also remembering where specific bolts went was a pain in the ass it also doesn't help that there isn't an outer and inner clutch cover which just increases amount of work needed

Luke Gibbs says:

Assuming it will be the same on the later 09+ x model

Ulises Glez says:

Very helpful video, looks pretty similar to the TXR 300EX.
