you guess are awesome. I did exactly what your tutorial instructed and now
it runs smooth. Low idle… GONE! Slow speed pick up… SPEED RACER NOW! No
car shut off in the middle of an intersection. next step… replacing the
fuel injector 5. Can you guys make a video for that?

TwiStedTentom says:

I have a 1994 Eclipse and whenever I crank it for the first time in awhile
(after the motor is cold again) it dies immediately. After cranking it
several times, it’ll last a little longer each time but continue to die.
Then finally stay cranked. If I mash the gas pedal down it will also make
it die. But when it’ s finally cranked and I floor the pedal it will almost
die, the intake will pop (or something under the hood will) and it will
rev. It only does this on cold days and the colder it is, the worse it is.
I’ve heard it could be the ignition coil. Is this accurate? Any information
would be incredibly appreciated. Thanks.

kcandy530 says:

I’m sorry i meant 93 accord not 94

cangoods100 says:

Is this the same process as a 94 accord 4 cyl my car wont start itt seems
like theres restriction on the belts or im not getting enuff juice too
start up i replaced the starter and the distributr works could this be my
coil? ?

1A Auto Parts says:

It may be arching out. It’s also a good idea to where rubber gloves and
remove the negative cable off of the battery when you’re making repairs.

ComicsReMIXed says:

While replacing the wire from the coil distributor cap, I received a shock.
Would that also indicate that the ignition coil is bad?

1A Auto Parts says:

@accordncorolla I could not say for sure the coil would fix your problem.
Could be the coil or the cam sensor or a combination of both.

Shane Peacock says:

my check engine light came on and its said engine misfire. i got new plugs
wires and distributor cap. car still ran fine with engine light on. so i
bought new injectors and put them in and now my car is running horrible it
has no power or acceleration and is missing terrible. i took the fuel rail
off and put it back on and still same problem. i never had this problem
until i changed the injectors. anyone know what it might be?

1A Auto Parts says:

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows that particular
repair. We’ll keep this request in mind in the event that we need to make
this repair in the future. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

cnunez579 says:

how much would an ignition coil cost?

Rohit says:

@1aauto Thanks for the responce… If the cam sensor is bad, then the
engine check light should show on, but I have no engine check light on.
Would there be any other reason?

michael70h7 says:

@accordncorolla i have the exact same problem. car runs good but every once
in a while it dogs out while the rpm needle is dancing… i was told it was
the distributor. about to replace it.

1A Auto Parts says:

If there’s a check engine light on at all you may want to run the code to
see what it’s pointing to.

Moosesworld23 says:

ok I have a 97 accord with the same problem tachometer doesnt work. but my
cel light reads P0725 Vehicle speed sensor, which is weird. I want to know
can it be the ignition coil like urs or the cam sensor?

1A Auto Parts says:

@cangoods100 The basics should be similar. If the car is slow to start you
may also want to check the battery to see if it is in good condition, and
that the terminals are clean and not corroded. Hope this helps you out.

Rohit says:

My tachometer jumps after I have driven my car about 5 miles or so i.e the
engine is heated. It goes from 0-3K constantly. The car drives fine all the
time, but sometimes it jerks when the tachometer jumps. Will changing the
Ignition coil solve the problem?

1A Auto Parts says:

@SporeVenom We currently do not have an auto repair video that covers that
particular repair. A Chiltons or a Haynes manual might show where it’s
located on your vehicle.

kcandy530 says:

I want to get the coil tested first but if its working properly then could
it be the ICM?

SporeVenom says:

Hello, I am just trying to find out where the ICM for my car is (97 Accord
4 cyl). I know you have to remove the distributor and coil, but I don’t
know where it’s supposed to be located and even how it looks like. Thanks!

1A Auto Parts says:

You could check the cap and rotor to see if they are worn. Also pull the
spark plugs to see what type of shape they’re in, and check the spark plug
wires to see if they need to be replaced. Make sure that there’s fuel
getting to the engine. If the fuel filter is very old, it may be
restricting the flow of fuel to the motor. When you turn the key, listen to
see if you can hear the fuel pump kick on in the gas tank. Hope this helps
you point you in a direction. Have a great day.

1A Auto Parts says:

It might be.

8btz says:

hi there great videos btw. i have a question. i just removed the coil from
my 99 accent and tested it with a multimeter and both the primary
resistance and secondary resistance for both coil packs(1 and 4, 3 and 2)
were fine. i then went back to check it again the next day as it had been
sitting on the kitchen table and now i’m getting absolutely no reading for
the secondary resistance on either coil pack! the primary resistance is
still within spec, but a few decimal places higher now. thanks!
