On your site you offer this regulator. My main question is what brand is
it?

Hi Jeff, You could try to press the switch and test the wire to the window
motor, to see if the switch is sending power to the motor. If there is
power to the window motor, you might have a bad window motor. Hope this
helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Jeff Christensen says:

Thanks for the great video! How can I tell if the problem is with the
switch or the regulator? My driver’s window is unresponsive. There is no
sound at all when I press the window switch. All the other windows work
from the driver’s master switch panel, just not the driver’s window. Can
you advise which leads to test for continuity on the master switch panel
and on the window regulator connectors? Just want to make sure I’m fixing
the right component. Thanks! Jeff

chad counts says:

It takes very long for my window to roll up and it’s so close to dying as
you can really hear the motor trying to turn over. I took my panel off, so
now I’m ready to put the regulator and motor in. Can you tell me what model
I need for a 2000 honda CRV.

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to take the door panel off an see if you can physically see
anything going on with the window regulator. You could also check the power
going to the window motor from the switch with a test light. We carry a new
drivers side window regulator with the motor for a 2002 Honda CR-V with

Took me about an hour total. Your time may vary depending on your skills
and automotive experience. Thanks, guys!

Hey, video looks good. Any chance you guys have another how-to for a 2001
CRV, front driver side window. I’ve noticed the door panels are different
from the later models.

christinc21 says:

Question, what if you just want to replace the motor, how do you separate
the motor from the regulator? I was told by Honda that is what is wrong
with it

1A Auto Parts says:

They could be. You could try to spray all of the weatherstrip around the
windows with a little silicone spray. You can this at your local auto parts
store. Hope this helps you out. Have a great day! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Arshad Haroon says:

Hi, I have a Honda CRV 2005. Yesterday while I was lowering the window, I
heard a snap sound and then my mirror went half down, tried to pull it up
twice with hand and push button also, the motor works but it is not rolling
the window up or down, now the mirror is fully down. What I do not
understand in this video is” when you removed the regulator from the door
you had only one at that time but suddenly you have two”, are there two
regulators or the other one is new to be replaced?, thanks.

1A Auto Parts says:

We currently do not have one for that particular year.

I just bought the window motor regulator in your website. is there any
difference to do in a CRV 1998 ?

great video, thanks. just did my window in a couple hours, and I have
absolutely no car repair experience. thanks again. the dealer wanted to
charge me $550. So I saved over $475 with your help.

Wv318 says:

Hi. The experts say that if the regulator has gone (my problem is driver’s
side 2002 CRV), there will be a grinding noise, or will be able to move the
window by hand. However, my window just stopped working and, if I try the
switch, there is no noise and the window doesn’t move. The other windows
work from the master panel. In your expert opinion, could this be the
regulator, or something easier? It’s not the fuse, as I’ve checked. Great
video by the way. Thank you.

I have a question and I kind of want to know what could be the issue before
I send it to a mechanic. My passenger side window goes down slowly and goes
up slower, as I try to hit the switch to make it go up, my engine seems to
want to stall off, I can hear the difference in the engine as if the
engine’s idle speed is slowing down. I’m guessing it’s a short in the
switch and I need a new window motor but I don’t know I’m not a mechanic,
yet. Thanks for your help.

Thank you for a most handy video! Your very detailed video helped me zero
in on just tightening the regulator bolts for my 2004 CR-V passenger side
window, instead of going too crazy taking apart the whole thing. Thank you
SOOOO much for that time saver!
