There is 6 screws total & 2 are underneath the A/C HEATER Climate Control
BUTTONS you will need to remove the stereo to get to them
very nice video man and surpising to see a pro mechinic doing these videos
for people you dont even know
Would this assembly, were swtching it out work for a 1989 ford probe also?

Hey thanks for the video man. I have an accord I have to fix tom. because
the heater is not working. They said that before they just tap the dash and
the heater works. Now it won’t work at all What do you is the problem there?

LOL I’ve done everything remove all the four screws but the damn thing just
wont come off as if there a hidden screw underneath or behind the switches
for the air control buttons… any help on this please??????
HI Paulo, We currently do not have an auto repair that shows you how to do
this. You may want to visit Crutchfieldcom they tend to deal with audio
upgrades, and may have a post on their forum that shows you how to do this.

It doesn’t show 2 screws that have to be removed in order to remover this,
which are located above the stereo. Screwed into the bottom of the A/C
switch assembly, they are pointed toward the roof and MUST BE removed to
get the panel off. I guess you have removed these before and left them out,
but just FYI.
@jun19020987 depends on where you have to tap. It may be a bad fan switch
or may just be a loose connection.
So I ran into a problem with my 97 honda accord. The air emanating from the
vent is cold. however when I turn the nob to turn the blower on nothing
happens other than the radiator fan kicks on, yet no air blows into the
cabin. I was wondering if this might be the problem. Any Ideas on if this
might fix it? or any guesses as to what the issue is?

I change my blower motor n resistor could it be my blower switch dosent nun
blow out
Good instructional video except it is not complete. The console, radio &
lower dash panels must be removed. At least that’s the way it is on a 94
Accord. There are two screws underneath on the lower right hand side of the
panel that has the gauge cluster & blower switch. Without removing these
you will never get it out. Not hard but you have a dozen or so more screws
to remove. I know because I just replaced my blower switch.
You may need to remove the AC selector cluster. They you should be able to
change them from the backside of the panel.
I could not get mine out all the way. I was not going to take out the
stereo . Found out I did not need to. The knob for the hot/cold blend was
split, and that is why mine did not work. But NOW that I have it all back
together, the fan speed switch now has a phantom detente at what would be
the 5 if it went to 5. And that position is now OFF. all the other
positions still work. OFF-1-2-3-4 and 5th is OFF again. I did not even
TOUCH that knob in trying to fix the blend know. ha ha.
THIS IS A GOOD VIDEO TO HELP YOU REMOVE DASH TO REPLACE GAUGE CLUSTER TOO.
The top part is out but the bottom side that is not coming out as if there
is are there locks on that side??? any idea???

with a bum heat regulator knob/switch/ I’ve been trying all day to get this
panel off, I’ve watched this video several times to try to see what I’m
missing-no way to get it off on the right side though-it is in TIGHT. I
don’t want to damage the panel or the surrounding leather, which I’ve
already dented a bit trying to pry it with my screwdriver, now I can go
back to the car+start removing the other screws.
It would be different on your vehicle. We currently do not carry one for an
1989 Ford Probe.
I had the same problem, just pull really hard and it breaks free, mine
kinda looked like it had glue on the bottom. but i hope this helps!
@firethrone15 It could be a loose wire or connection.Another thing that you
could also try is to turn the heat on and test the blower motor plug with a
test light to see if there’s power the the blower motor and also the blower
motor resistor. If there is that then it’s either the resistor or the
blower motor itself.
