Thanks for the preview! Looking forward to doing this filter replacement
next weekend. 😀
It may not. They dealer would be able to tell you if your vehicle came
equipped with one or not. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Does the 90-97 Accord have Cabin Air Filters as well? lf so, how to replace
it?
i have a 97 honda civic lx, it sat for a year. I finally got it on the
road. I so I turned on the heat and this god awful smell keeps coming out.
How do I fix, and does this year of car have cabin air filter?
If it’s because of moisture, sometimes the smell will go away after a
little while. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Thank you alot im 13 and i did it with out any help except your of course i
think my brother will be very pleased because he hasnt had time to do it if
i can do it anyone can do it!! 😀
Thanks…
Now you need to do a 2002 model. It is DIFFERENT. It has an extra screw at
the very bottom of the glove box. I noticed in your video the bottom screw
was missing. The panel crossmembers are different also, and require removal
because one of them holds the door in place.
We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows this repair on a
right hand drive application. It could be in the same position on the other
side of the car if there is a cabin filter.
My 2001 had the extra screw too! Lol
Thanks for posting this.Gives me the confidence to try this myself.
WARNING–Some accords from this era have a couple more screws than shown in
this video which must be removed to remove glove box assembly. My 2000
Accord SE had an additional screw under a pop-off cover in the center
console area which attached the panel below the glove box; also there was
another screw (lower than the three he removes) which needed to be removed
to release the glove box.
worked like a charm! Not as easy as you did, had to use a bit of elbow
grease and smashed a couple knuckles, oh and there was one more screw at
the very bottom underneath the glovebox, but thank you very much! My
husband and I did it! 2001
Exactly correct. Took me 5 minutes to figure out why the hell the glovebox
wasn’t coming out when I found that screw on the center bottom tab of the
glove box holding it in place.
Thank you for the video.
What about the 1994? Thanks.
Thanks for watching. Have a great day! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
@MsClaudiaMarie Thank you for visiting our auto repair channel on YouTube.
Think you were supposed to reuse the housing around the paper filter
element. And as other commenters said I had an additional screw holding the
globe box in. Thanks for the video.
video is too raw, followed same exact steps. took like 15 minutes and had
no problems.Thanks!!
@MrAlexdesousa The 1993 Honda Accord wasn’t equipped with one.
Excellent video. I did it myself. And to think that Honda would have
charged me $150 to do a job that noly takes 15 minutes tops.
@1aauto Ok thank you
Thank you for visiting our auto repair channel on YouTube.
@avsdavidt1 The 1994 Accord didn’t come equip with one.
cool mike
what about a right hand drive ? thanks
thanks alot mike for the video… why would anyone dislike this video when
you are just trying to help out the community? but thanks again
Hi! Do you know how can I do it on 1993?
Thanks! I’ve been looking for a video on how to do this. Not sure why Honda
had to make it so complicated to do…
