Couldn’t you use really good double sided contact tap on the sides instead
of screwing into the bumper?

Hates to bust your bubble but it doesn’t help with gas mileages.. just
looks good.. on my 92 Honda Civic Hatchback.. I just rivot the sides in..
no 3m tape or because I want to flex n play just in case, I scrap it or rub
it in on something..
hit one curb or bottem out with the front taped and it goes under car
doesnt sound fun.
Really if people cant install a simple poly lip try a different hobby
lol i didnt bother putting the double sided tape just screw in the sides
and you are good

The 3m tape keeps the lip nice and tight and makes it a little more harder
for thieves to steal.

I think about 1 or 2mpg at freeway speeds. It’s impossible to measure
unless you do it under scientific conditions. But I noticed what seemed
like a smal improvement.

It doesn’t make your “bumper” lower. It is not designed to take an impact.
But it does drop down below the stock bumper.
