@hard554 Thanks. Do I need to buy the whole kit? Also, would I need a new
grill or do the fog light panels just pop out?
1. 07 and up doesnt apply here because the bumpers are different on the
09-10 then the 06-08 civics. 2. Do you even have a 09-10 civic? I ask
because taking off your bumper to install the fogs adds about another hour
to the process. So how is it easier? clearly the idiot in the video has no
idea what hes taking about so please dont try and defend him
White 🙁 get yellow
@crazythife12 Yea i know that. I just said that this one is Hybrid 😛
i have an 06 si coupe, will it be hard to wire up fogs?
@AutoAnything THANKS A LOT 🙂 that was quick lol
@Highlander01 To be honest, I’m not sure, Type-R’s were not sold in the US.
Does the bumper have a spot for fog lights? If so, you could order a set
through Honda, or look for an aftermarket vehicle-specific option (usually
much less expensive). If the bumper does not have a spot for fog lights,
then you could mount a universal pair…here are a few brands to check out:
Hella, PIAA, Anzo, Vision X and KC HiLites.
@imVohqs LMFAOO thats a good one lol
Idiot
What if your trying to install aftermarket fog lights. Is it that much
harder to install? I know am going to have to cut out a hole for the fog
lights on my 2000 Honda Civic coupe but the wiring is where am lost….
@borat7776 The lights in this video are intended to fit directly in the
factory location, so this kit would not work for you unless you got a
different bumper. However, we do have some universal fog light kits that
could be installed in any opening on your bumper. I’ll send you a link via
direct message.
@K14sh00ter you would have to install a universal set of fog lights and
mount them to your bumper. This can be done by drilling through the bumper,
or fabricating a custom mount. Another option is to find a bumper that has
factory fog light mounting holes, then these Spider fog lights could fit
inside that.
These fools call themselves “Spyder Auto” yet they don’t know what an Allen
key is, and a Phillips screw driver, and locking tabs, and rubber grommets.
Lol.
@poonpiratex420 Hard to say without seeing it, but if the fog lights you
have are OEM Honda lights, then there should be a collar-switch on the
steering column stalk assembly. If the fog lights are not OEM, then you’ll
need to take a look at the fog light wiring, trace it and see if there is
another switch installed somewhere in the cabin.
kind of a stupid question but since the car already has fogs the wires that
come with the new fogs are not needed?
@xVxRayJohnathaNxVx The fog lights in the video are aftermarket fogs. Click
on the first link in the video description, then select your vehicle and
you will see an image of the fog lights for your Civic. With these
aftermarket fog lights from Spyder, no cutting of the bumper is necessary,
everything is plug n play. The only “wiring” you **might** need to do is
run a on/off switch to the drivers seat, which is included in the kit.
does this work for the 2011 civic sedan?
@crysisdood It’s certainly possible to wire it up that way, but you would
need a digital multimeter, a relay, a fuse and some decent electrical
skills.
he said 07 and up. and removing the bumper just makes installation easier
instead of trying to put screws into holes that you can’t see or reach
@akaidabat all 06-08 civics have the same front end no matter the trim, the
09-11 civics have the same front end no matter the trim.
@AutoAnything oh alright thanks alot man
its more like R&R video no intalling them
@AutoAnything OK i have a 07 civic si i have fog lights but no cluster for
it i have tried and tried to get them to come on but apparently there for
looks, i have thought about buying aftermarket fog’s but where would i put
the switch for them?
thanks.. any recommendations? i wan something sleek and nice but not too
expensive.. thanks again lol
@poonpiratex420 So the fog lights you have now are stock fog lights from
Honda, but they don’t work? These Spyder lights are a direct replacement.
I’m not sure if they can use the factory switch or not, but I know they
come with a new switch that can be mounted in your dash. Your dash should
have “blank” spots for switches / buttons, and the switch Spyder provides
should fit in one of those.
I’ve just bought a Civic Type-R (2009 plate) – no fog lights are fitted as
standard. Can fog lights be installed in my particular model?
@crazythife12 this one is Hybrid
good video …. pretty much. lol
I dont know what is worst in this video, calling this 09 civic an 07 civic,
or installing the foglight screw the wrong way. The foglight isnt being
held in tightly by that screw. And why you removed your bumper to remove
the foglight is beyond me
@brodieroxs These Spyder fog lights use factory harnesses, so the wiring is
plug and play. As for installation, the 2006 and 2007 Civic front ends are
very similar, so this video should be a good installation guide for you…
however, some steps may differ, so make sure to consult the install guide
that comes with the fog lights you purchase.
@Ajmartinez95 As of right now, Spyder does not have an application for your
vehicle. However, we do have a set of aftermarket fog lights from Spec-D.
Click the second link in the video description (directly underneath the
video), then click on the Spec-D Fog Lights product. Call us if you have
any questions: 800.544.8778
2008 and up video bud not 07. 07 we have to do some drilling :/
@sqeeeult I know I’ve bought the standard Type-R. Unfortunately, being
someone who knows very little about cars I only found out after the
purchase. I can’t afford a GT version anyway. I managed to obtain the fog
light kit. I just need someone to fit it!

Turbo BOV at 1:26 lmao.
This is BS! y wudn’t u use a car with no fog lights prior to installation
Good sir you seem to be mistaken. The 2007 Sedan bumper does not look
anything like the 2010 bumper and requires a hole to be cut out by the
owner to insert the fog lights. 06-08 bumpers are same 09-11 bumpers are
same. might wanna get that straight next time lol.
