Who says you cannot trust a geek with a pocket full of pens which can write a full sized library? Lieberry you ask?

Jody Blackmore says:

Thanks this helped me alot

Matt McCarthy says:

You jump shoot it that's why

Scott DeMent, D.C. says:

Does this work on cars and trucks?

steve talbert says:

The problem is with the voltage and amperage to the trigger wire. I use a Bosch relay with 10 gauge wire.

derek obidowski says:

this be the same if you are doing an engine swap from a Briggs to a Kohler, Kawasaki, Honda. is to connect the wires to the existing solenoid to the starter as Kawasaki calls it a solenoid shift starter. the Kawasaki FS series engines all went back to using this external inexpensive solenoid.

Randal Murdaugh says:

I give Taryl 2 thumbs up!

oracle wisdom says:

I just took my kawi mule starter apart, plastic dinky piece of shit. where the contacts in the solenoid are, there are little grooves that are worn off mostly, and its not making good contact when the plunger pulls in. .. .26.00 on fleabay do they sell a good starter for these?

oracle wisdom says:

it works because u created an exciter circuit. im going to try in tommorow. will let u know if it works… a new kawisaki starter is 415.00

Strom Johnston says:

Well shut my mouth> I figured out the wiring and now my mower cranks like a Maserati. Thanks Tayryl!

Strom Johnston says:

Tayrl I did this for my JD 165 which was clicking. Now it won't even click? ! Know I screwed up but don't know how. Bought a Stens 3 way solinoid and hooked it up and grounded it per instructions. I can short between the terminals and she cranks right up but the key is now a dead silence.

don shields says:

I am missing sumpin….I thought the solenoid did two things…engage the pinion gear into the flywheel ring gear AND energize the starter motor. Just installing a replacement solenoid won't cause the pinion to engage…will it. I know the replacement solenoid can give 12 volts to the motor but how does it cause the original failed solenoid coil to magnitize the pinion core and cause engagement? I am dumb I guess…

Agave Bob says:

Thanks a billion Taryl!! Your smile brings sunshine to my day!!

William I says:

Hey Kens Small Engines is coming on live tonight. I think at 8pm est. come join in. He’d love to have u

Max says:

Or you could just fix it right instead of adding crap on top.

Lane Culpepper says:

I NEED THAT AIR FILTER COVER. In the video, next to the starter Taryl is working on. At about the 3.25 mark, when the camera is on his left side, there's a Kohler Magnum 18hp opposed twin air filter cover. I need that. If he still has it, I'd like to buy it. Down here in Texas, I haven't never seen a Kohler opposed twin. Then suddenly in the last couple of months, I got 3 of them in the shop. One needs that cover. I'll pay Hamms beer price for it.

Matt Shaw says:

This guy is a fukn T TOTAL IDIOT!!! THE SOLENOID ON THAT STARTER KICKS UR DRIVE IN AND OUT. THE SWITCH HE WANTS TO PUT IN ONLY TURNS THE STARTER ON N OFF. IF THE SOLENOID IS OUT ON THE STARTER IT WONT WORK BY ADDING ANOTHER SWITCH!!! THE SOLENOID IS A DELCO PMGR UNIT OF A 2002 ERA 260 PMGR STARTER. GETM AT AUTOPARTSTORE OR HERE AT MY SHOP… 618 704 9553. AUTO ELEC SERVICE. MATT

Frank George says:

Lol, Miller light

Brian Robson says:

You're bypassing the starter solenoid, not repairing it.

Brian Clausen says:

There’s a lot of different kind of solenoids just trying to find the right one there’s intermittent there’s continuous please let me know what you use thanks

Brian Clausen says:

Tyrell what is the part number on that solenoid that you used for that welder generator starter please get back to me soon as possible having a hard time got to get it done

Tony B5624 says:

I would like to know what solanoid I would need to replace the one for my Honda 2213 , I have looked on eBay but can't find one, Tony from UK
