I like to use the extra oil from the 5 quart container and just pour it
through. You use that extra 1.4 liters to help flush out any extra debris,
then use the recommended amount to fill the motor. Just a suggestion…

I once had a 88 mercury tracer. It was so easy to change the oil. You
could see the filter under the hood and the oil plug was right near the
front bottom of the car so there was no need to lift the car. Why dont
they make cars like that anymore?

before !

i do everything myself. last time jiffy lube mesed up my ol ar engine

coryh94 says:

Very easy to change oil. I work in a “quick lube’ All you really need
depending on your vehicle is an appropriately sized wrench to your drain
plug, and a band wrench for your filter, unless you have a canister, then
you need the appropriate cup and ratchet/speedbar.

I wouldn’t use synthetic on an old car like that unless it was done from
