Hmm the old plugs looked usable to my eyes, the ceramic insulator looked
clean and undamaged, i could not see clearly the shape of the electrode but
they look good enough to use as test plugs on problem engines.

Ive allways thought of a tuneup as being a physical adjusting of
timing/mixture and valve grinding/ port de-coking, but thats old cars
without computers.

Plugs/filters/oil/fluids/belts/break pads are bits that wear out so i count
those as maintainance/checks, but thats just my view and i bet very wrong.
Stuff like cleaning the mass air flow sensor, i guess that would be a tune
for better fuel economy and perhaps a touch more sharpness to the engine,
perhaps lol :-))

Great video! Thanks so much for sharing.

One thing I do is put an air nozzle on my air compressor and blow out any
debris before I remove the old spark plugs . That way nothing falls into
the cylinders like dirt or debris prior to installing the new spark plugs.

Thanks for the videos, especially the Volvo vids. Treat yourself to a
magnetic spark plug socket, Gearwrench makes one with a built in swivel
too. I think Autozone makes a Duralast version too. It would be a great
addition to your toolbox.
