Spit out your gum.

Caleb Mathey says:

hondas and cubcadets suck, hondas are the worst though, but cubcadet doesnt
have an air filter cover

totofetlulu says:

oil and fuel on the floor, not a good job

maynard623 says:

I like how you casually smacked the bowl loose with your ratchet. Ouch! I
guess that’s what separates lawn mower mechanics from aircraft mechanics.

Larry Ogden says:

That Bird finger ring, are you a fagg ???

maynard623 says:

We don’t hammer on components due to their sensitivity and exotic alloys.
So seeing you do that made me jump, haha! No big deal. I bought a mower
like this and it gave me some perspective on her anatomy. Thanks!

Larry Ogden says:

Aring on the bird finger ???? How dorky !!!

Jerry Robert says:

Did you ever run that pull cord thru the guide on the handle up tube? Might
have added to the trouble you had with its recoil.

Captain stud says:

Your rope is to short lol, good way for someone to cut there foot off.
Seafoam is my favorite products

Dan Coleman says:

Personally for me I hate repairing honda engines…they are a pain to work
on

1972FordF150 says:

I’ve had really good luck with stabil, I do add more than I’m supposed to
and it keeps my gas fresh for up to a year, without it my gas goes stale
pretty quick

DrinkBeer00 says:

sta-bil really does work if you follow the directions. i had a tank full of
gas with sta-bil in it that sat for 3years and was still good…that mower
had more sta-bil then gas lol

searchlight22 says:

No. It has the 3 spd, shift on the right handlebar. Can’t find any info on
repair to this trans. When I opened it there was almost no oil inside and
lots of very fine metal dust disolved in what was left. I flipped the gear
over and half filled case with #90 and put back together. Improved the
drive but not to where it should be. Then I see a clip on YT where the
Honda trans (H 215) has grease not oil. Can’t see where the oil/grease got
out BTW, no holes or bad seals, a mystery. Tires R bald 2.

Dan Coleman says:

Plus parts are so dang expensive for Honda’s

JOE Z says:

Was that oil milky or did it look like it had a silver gray tint to it? If
silver there is engine ware going on. Advise your customer to change that
oil more often before connecting rod goes.

daddytech says:

gotta restring my 3/5 hp briggs too, not liking the thoughts of that at
all. I use Mobil1 in my lawn mowers too just like my cars, might as well
stick with what works the best right?

TDHReviews says:

Stabil is shit, Get some Amzoil 2 cycle mix. It preserves gas and its the
best 2 cycle oil on the marktet

Barsczey says:

I use startron it works good

searchlight22 says:

Hi ils. I got the problem fixed. Simply shortened the clutch link by adding
a spacer inside the spring/holder on the handlebar. Made a big difference.
Honda ought to have better info and at least some parts available. The
manual is useless for Tran. work and parts are not sold to repair. These
are expensive mowers and that’s not good enough. Next I will recap the rear
tires as they are bald as a baby’s ass. Will use old bike tires cut and
glued over the wheels. Hard 2 push this M/C glad it’s OK

ils360 says:

thay run forever if kept up but yes they are a pain to work on

charles crisp says:

Defo time for an oil change

Robert Jochum says:

Now what if your carb (exact same model) just out ta now where sprang a
fuel leak coming out of the bottom of the fuel bulb?

Dan Coleman says:

Do you like Honda engines?

Reef Scratcher says:

After draining oil you could also put diesel fuel in the crank case instead
of oil and start it for 30 seconds or so and idle only. Then drain and
repeat a second time. Then put your cheap oil in start and re drain. Then
drain completely and put in the good oil. When you re check the oil it will
be as clean as a new engine. I prefer Castrol oil to vavoline. I have used
both and upon inspection of parts during engine tear down they are clean
and sludgless. Thanks for the video

skywolf8113 says:

Thanks!

redneckrollercoast1 says:

i use fuel sta-bil and had nothing but good luck with it but thats like
pure fuel stabilizer in that carb bowl sta-bil doesn’t turn gas that dark
of a red.

Deadbuck73 says:

Been having good luck with sea-foam. My Honda is a 1990 commercial grade
21″ hydrostatic drive walk behind… It runs great… One to two pulls on a
cold start since we bought it 22 years ago. Gotta keep that oil changed!

deasttn says:

Are you sure that the fuel is off? At the 0:40 mark you rip him for having
the fuel off. I then notice that you can’t get it running at 4:40 mark
after you have flipped the shut off valve. Then at the 9:28 you have the
mower running and I noticed that the fuel valve is in the position where
the owner left it. Doh!

Sean Lyons says:

Would probably advise to put newspaper down so your not putting all the
liquid on the floor!

GuitarVampire93 says:

the oil looks exactly like whats in my honda powered lawnboy, yet it
doesn’t smoke (except on startup). i do make sure its kept up though, and
i’m gonna try and change it when it warms up

Glenn S says:

what is your take on seafoam vs startron? I always been using seafoam

ils360 says:

yes thay are

William Todd says:

I see oil that’s black like that all the time. People just don’t take care
of their equipment, then wonder why it quits running. Oil is a lot cheaper
than an engine, but I guess people don’t understand that LOL. Got an Ariens
riding mower last year that the engine was seized in it, well upon checking
the oil it was no wonder, it was so low on oil it didn’t even read on the
dipstick. People just get their equipment out and use it, they don’t bother
checking the fluids oftentimes.

grant rich says:

I changed oil in a Honda the drain plug is a square head screw

cseanny says:

Starter handle should be handlebar mounted on that.

ils360 says:

is it the thumb drive one?

charles crisp says:

check the fuel level

Elvin Bryant says:

nice!!! fix

Glen Webber says:

You mentioned oil & fuel additives is it possible for you to tell me in
writing and a good place to buy it, I have a Honda 217 Electric start, the
vacuum it generates Is piss poor, small leafs & pine needles are left
behind is there an alternative Blade(s) (72511-VH7-000&72531-VH7-000
currently use) that would generate more section? Thanks for posting these
types of videos they are very helpful.

666mrjimbo says:

yea smack it with a ratchet what a dick

Al Cha says:

Ils360 I had a problem with my hands harmony hhr216 I changed the carb out
to a new one started right up but after 2 weeks came back to use it and
didn’t start again I did leave the gas in there which was new gas any
suggestion why it won’t start?

Harley Davis says:

lol just a bit of lube

Filipe Mendonca says:

If you don’t know how to do it JUST simply leave it for someone who does
….. that simple . Working on Honda for the past 10 years and is the most
reliable and EASY to work motor on this market (power equipment)

searchlight22 says:

Hey ils, I have a HRR216. Good mower, having an issue with trans. Not
pulling right. Lift wheels off ground & they spin, yet they won’t pull when
grounded. I removed it and flipped brass gear to “new” side. How much gear
oil should be in the gear case. There’s no fill hole so I assume U fill one
half of the case and reassemble. One video here says to use grease not oil?
Can I drill and tap a fill hole and put in more oil and cap with a bolt.
Seems the trans. does not generate enough “pressure”.
