Timing belt replacement is CRITICAL to replace at intervals, especially on interference engines……..when it snaps (and it will) the pistons slammed into the open valves and everything pretty much gets destroyed………so like for Honda…….a timing belt job is $1200-ish +- 400ish……….or option 2, it breaks and you need a junk yard motor and someone to install……$2500-4k…………choose wisely……..and if your DIY, “most” timing belts aren’t really that horrible to do (there are exceptions)……..if you DIY go ahead and get the kit with tensioner and water pump………you’ll thank yourself
