Hey man that was a great vid. I purchased my 07 coupe a few months back and
just got my subs in her recently. Im pushing 2000 watts with the amp and
about 1400 with the subs. They rumble to the point where i have to put my
windows either all the way up or down otherwise them and the back
windshield may shatter. Fixed the window vibrations on the back panel but
did not even think of the holes right there. Thanks man. Im gonna do that
right when i leave work for lunch. Really helped bro good vid!

Scott Clawson says:

I need a video on how to fix the vents 🙁 you never posted one uuggghh :(

MrKylev35 says:

+j0rdan1794 I have a rattle in both of my front doors. It sounds like the
inside handles or something that is in that area. You should hear it if you
have only the four speakers that are in the stock places going. If you find
out what it is and how to fix it could you make a video and/or message me?

strongdude08 says:

college hills honda sells the trunk insulator kit along with the trunk arm
covers to clean up your bare trunk. that along with 3m backed aluminum
mobile home roof patch will alleviate all rattles. you can buy dynamat but
your just paying for a name, but dymamat just put their name on a product
that has been around for a long time.

G-dogg says:

I’m going to do everything you have done I watched your vids man.legit

john dallas says:

Im going to watch all your videos Haha I just put 2 kicked L7s in my civic
and im trying to fix all the rattles.. it sounds like my cars falling apart
haha

j0rdan1794 says:

At the time of making I was using the amp that came with my first
subwoofers, SDX (sondpex) Currently though, I have a Kenwood KAC amp, can’t
remember the model number off of the top of my head, but it puts out 900
watts RMS at 2 ohms(which is what I have them wired to)

j0rdan1794 says:

@timesplitter88 Sweet, you definitely should,I’d like to see if this fix
works for all 8th gens or not.

Ianbigga says:

Make the trunk vents video

j0rdan1794 says:

It’s just your trunk vents, I don’t really have time to make a video
anytime in the forseeable future but if you send me your e-mail in a
private message I’d be more than happy to send you pictures showing you how
to fix it.

skylinelover08 says:

oorrrrr.. you can just dynamat it all like a pro

Jay Patel says:

hey can you send me the pictures too i need it

sosodef1993 says:

This is very helpful man, now I’m only having problems with that flapping
noise:/

timesplitter88 says:

Dude thank you so much for posting this! Your vid was informative as
always! 🙂 I am going to attempt this on my 07 hybrid, I might even post a
response video with my results. Thanks again dude!

timesplitter88 says:

@timesplitter88 The only difference I think is that there is an IMA vent in
the rear deck, other then that our trunk interiors should be the same.
Either way ill let you know.

isaak klassen says:

Can you fix it the same way for a 2002 Honda Civic SI? I’m having some
hardcore rear deck, trunk, and license plate rattling going on

Zach Moya says:

Appreciate it broham, forever my Civic was just a coup because I would
always have the backseat down. I had no Idea it was this simple to fix.

Juncel Arpon says:

out of topic, but where did u get that steering wheel cover?

jovabo112 says:

I REALLY need to know, I just 2 twelve inch p2s connected to a thousand
watt amp and i can’t have it mid level because it’ll rattle like crazy in
the rear deck. I can’t have them blasted all the way 24/7 it just hurts and
i don’t want to go deaf.

j0rdan1794 says:

No problem, glad I could help.

MiracleFlames says:

Another rattle is from the trunk light. I just stick a piece of cardboard
under the trunk light and it works quite well. And I usually keep my
backseats down and that helps A LOT but you cant do that if you have more
than 2 people in the car cause you need them to sit somewhere lol

j0rdan1794 says:

@timesplitter88 Another thing, there are two square holes, big enough for a
screw driver,on the right side the hole should be open, but on the left you
can pop-out the seat release to get access.

Malin Harshanath says:

I do have a 2007 HONDA CIVIC. Coming a sound from driver seat panel inside.
What should i do & where i can check the sound coming from?

j0rdan1794 says:

When I had this amp I had gotten rid of all the rattles, but with my new
amp I’ve gotten some back. My new amp runs 900 watts RMS, the amp in this
video was only 400 watts RMS.

j0rdan1794 says:

Lol, that’s how I felt when I first got the kenwoods.MY old subs didn’t do
much, but as soon as I cranked the new ones the rattles came! I gotta say
the loudest one has to be the trunk, you gotta lower that latch…even if
it doesn’t stop it should at least help. My C-Pillar rattle was really bad
too, I still need to make a video about it, I keep forgetting.

j0rdan1794 says:

They had the same one at auto-zone,wal-mart, and advanced auto-parts but it
was cheapest at auto-zone. I had to cut the cover though, as the honda
steering wheel is really small. I cut about 2 inches out then sewed it back
together using a piece of black fabric to cover where I had to cut.

Brandon Booth says:

Hey I have a quick question i just installed 4 new speakers in my honda
accord 01.. 3 of the speakers are fine except for the rear drivers side
speaker. It rattles with any base. when i open the trunk and actually pull
down on the speaker it stoppes rattling. why is this and how do i fix it??

YABOYE89 says:

Thank you I will try that first thing tomorrow I have 15 inch kicker in my
2011 civic n it rattles everything for the past 2 years I’ve been trynna
figure something out

j0rdan1794 says:

Sure, send me a message with your email.

timesplitter88 says:

@j0rdan1794 Man i think it will work, I only looked at the roof of the
trunk once since i bought the car last week, but im almost certain it looks
just like yours. I would be shocked if it didnt work.

j0rdan1794 says:

Glad it helped you, I actually plan on doing another video within the next
month or two showing how to fix the c-pillar rattle I had.

j0rdan1794 says:

I’m not familiar with dodges, but from the image I see the cargo area of
the magnum is made up of hard, plastic panels/sections. I need some more
info to try to help. How would you describe the sound(start with the
loudest one) Is it high pitched like metal hitting metal? Is it a low pitch
like metal hitting plastic? Is it a medium pitch, like plastic hitting
plastic? Where is it coming from? Bottom of trunk, one side or the other,
roof, c pillars(supports on either side of rear window)

LARRYYASCkOOP says:

Is that a magna bass amp

j0rdan1794 says:

Same result, but I used 200$ less? Think I’d rather go my way. Of course,
dynamat is great and I really wish I could get some, but it’s out of my
budget for the moment. If you have the money I would definitely suggest
getting dynamat instead simply because it fixes the rattle and does a bunch
of other stuff on top of that. But if you are just looking to stop the
rattle I think that this is the way to go.

Jean-Jacques Simard says:

Thank you very much for your video. It’s really worth watching. I’ve had
the same rattle annoying noise on my Civic 08, I tried to fix it last year
with the same kind of approach but I used the other smaller holes under the
rear window deck and inserted old phone wires, hoping to solve the problem.
But, actually, it wasn’t the best way. With the heat coming up this spring,
the noise came back. So, I will stick to your solution. Thanks for sharing
your process. Best greetings from Quebec City.

j0rdan1794 says:

They are just insulation strips. You can get them from most any hardware
store, but to be safe I’m sure lowe’s/home depot have them. Try lowering
your trunk lid latch too, it causes a very loud, headache inducing rattle.
Check out my other video, about trunk and license plate rattle.

jovabo112 says:

Where do you buy foam strips?

j0rdan1794 says:

It sounds like you either have a broken speaker, or it is rattling where it
touches the car. You said you just installed it so I assume the speaker is
fine, try looking at the speaker and noting wherever any part of the
speaker touches anything. Take the speaker off and apply some weather
stripping to these areas, that might fix the issue. (Have you tried
tightening the screws to the speaker?)

Dominique Allen says:

like this how can i get my dodge magnum from making rattle noises please
help

Artur Grabowski says:

Thanks for posting the video – very helpful.
