DIY: Broken Honda Accord Gear Shift knob replacement

DIY: Broken Honda Accord Gear Shift knob replacement

Recently, the Gear Shift Knob of my 2003 Honda Accord broke suddenly.
Since I have replaced it before (about 2 years ago), I still have a spare knob…

This is how I replaced the knob and got my car back on track.

This is hoping this video will help someone n need.

I wonder if this will work for a 2017 CRV. It looks similar to it

There’s a broken piece stuck behind the silver piece on mine and I can’t pull it out. Tips?

Profoundly helpful. My old-ass Accord broke down in the store parking lot, at 9PM, and I tried to get my finger in there to force the shift lever down, but I kept trying to press the metal bar horizontally, then just gave up and figured there was some intricate design that required the plastic to be intact. Got a friend to come pick me up and drive me home, then found this video and slapped myself in the head several times for not realizing that the bar goes *down*. My dumbass kept trying to force it horizontally. Went back up there and easy peasy, pressed the bar down and shifted to Drive. Didn't have to leave my car in the parking lot overnight because of this video. Thanks! Relaxing music, too.
