Attempting to Replace Struts on My Honda. I'm NOT a Mechanic.

My 2004 Honda Civic failed inspection! Whomp whomp. It needs new struts and tires. I don’t work on cars, but I’m going to give it my best effort to replace the struts myself.

This is a hilarious video but impressed that you completed the job. There is no way my wife or daughter would even attempt that.

talon hamand says:

For your leverage if nothing else, use the jack bar as a breaker bar. You put it on the end of the socket.

Rolling the tires down the driveway in the dark past the camera made me think of a thief in an old school comedy sketch. All you needed was the campy music and good to go LOL

Great job Jen ! Even though you had a few issues you did a great job. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger ! Never done strut replacements myself so you did better than me.

Only if all can learn at least the basics of car repair, can save lots of money.

Cobra1 says:

Great job it’s awesome seeing strong willingness to finish what you started.

James Blanke says:

Kick ass job. A pointer or two if you work under there again .a big peice of card board makes it easy to slide around under there along with seeing where your tools are and some heavy cloths for warmth. Bravo for the little Jen that could. Still think your singing and your voice is your real Talant though. I think every one has a god given talent. Much success.

Henry Michael Wilson says:

Hello again. Good on you for trying anyway. There's loads of guys that wouldn't of attempted that. Ho and it's not just yous that I'm
Telling about the cat. Nice jazz music. I haven't heard you swere yet. And that's a nice thing. There are so many people that use the F werd. That is shoowerly not English.

D E says:

Jenn, #1 we would NEVER laugh at you, #2 Probably power steering pump, #3 you did great girl!! pat yourself on the back. but us men just want to help, just remember that. nothing against women, just want to help.

Henry Michael Wilson says:

Hello there. Is that cat a birdie killer. Most of them are. I'm trying to encourage people to put a coller with a bell on it to warn birds of there presence. I live in the UK and bird population as dwindled Jue to the domestic cat. You will respect the people who repair cars now.
