I seem to regularly run into issues with the starter on my Silverado and my Serra. finally wired in a solution to find what the issue is once and for all.
note that you could jumper the starter to activate it by removing the starter relay…and making a jumper wire..but would be unable to do it while turning the key…hence..this solution to figure it out once and for all.

Stop buying junk starters. We use OEM in our shop if they are available. We've spent way too much time and money on aftermarket starters and alternators that never last. The OEM may cost a little more up front, but the time you'll save will more than make up for it.
