Good video!! My service airbag light just came on yesterday. I took it the
dealership to get a trade in value. I hope they didn’t mess with it.
John how many miles did your Yukon have when the light came on?? Let me
know.
Thanks for the video. I bought an OEM sensor on ebay for $60. Took 1/2 hour
to swap out. My friend/ mechanic told me he just replaced one and GM
charges over $200 just for the sensor. He did scan my truck to confirm that
it was the front impact sensor.
Saved me $400. Easy
Do you know the part #?
Just wanted to say thank you for this video. You saved me 250 bucks 🙂 Now
if I could get my effing seat to work again. I had a 2007 yukon and it
worked like a charm
Is it necessary to disconnect the battery??? thanks
dude you are the man, thank you so much.
Hi what tools you us to see what sencer was it
I had it at the dealer for something else and they scanned it for me for
free. Tech II scanner or better.
Thank you very much for the video. You did an excellent job explaining the
process step by step. Thanks again!
Oh man thank you, thank you, thank you! 2005 Silverado!
Life saver on this video… Going to swap mines out 2morrow and report
back… Thank you for this, it’s a huge help…
Man you are a big help!! My code reader said driver side but I had no clue
where it was on the driver side. My hanes book normally helps me out but
not this time. I have the same truck and I cant thank you enough. Now if you
can help me find the little plastic part behind and in front of the tires
and on the bottom of the doors on Denali’s you’ll be the man!!! Lol
Just one more THANK YOU have a 1500 Pick up and you just saved me $320.00
You have to disconnect the battery for at least 15min or more before
disconnect the sensor if you don’t do that your airbag might blow and it
will cost you more then $1000.
Rock on. Just changed out the driver side module in less than half hour,
part cost me $57 through Amazon and it’s about the same at Ebay (Dorman
brand). Local shop wanted $320 for the part and $150 labor…ROFL, even the
local Napa wanted $90 for part. Question though, what would happen if I
didn’t disconnect battery, because I was within about 10 seconds of pulling
the wire harness from the module before I remembered the battery; pure luck
that it occurred to me in time. Thanks for the vid
