his knowledge and experience have value. he should charge something. he could get the same customer goodwill if he charged a nominal fee of say $25. as a customer i would be more than happy to get only a small charge to have my heat back.
Mine didnt have this problem exactly, but it did have 25 years of leaves and sticks in the ducting that leads to the blower. 99 suburbans dont have a cabin air filter, doh!

I have an ‘08 Silverado. It’ll blow for a couple seconds and then dies out. Wont blow again till I put the pedal almost to the floor. Cant seem to find the problem, my resistor is fine, blower seems fine, fuses are fine, patience and will to fix this truck (less than 100k miles, rust-bucket) are not fine

Mines will blow strong and then low and then back strong again on the highest what could be wrong and I also here a squeaking belt
