Did you fix yours? Before I rip some more stuff apart, would like to know
if you had a bad wire in that conduit and which one. If you would be so
kind. Been pullin my hair out on this one!

Jamie Williams says:

ranjmaan, No I did not do anything… It has just decided to grace me with
being functional again, go figure…

rockinrollfan37 says:

Ken i do not have a diagram at home with me another area that you should
check is inside the rubber conduit between the cab and door i have randomly
seen broken wires inside the conduit from years of flexing when the door
opens and closes other than the broken regulator’s there generally wasn’t
any more issues with this bodystyle truck with windows anyway!…LOL

ranjmaan says:

rockinrollfan, thx for the advice on the conduit. My pass. side window was
intermittent for a few weeks, then stopped working completely. (2000
Sierra) I checked the window motor w/ voltage and it works. Neither switch
will make it go now. must be a frayed wire, right? Maybe a fuse, but I
doubt it. They all look good. Driver’s side works fine- original.

rockinrollfan37 says:

LOL that sucks man I have changed out hundreds of these in the years that i
worked for G.M. 1999- 2002 models were the easiest to change and you dont
have to take out the screw on the bottom of the door panel if viewers out
there have 2003-2007 models DO NOT TRY TO PRY THE CONTROL SWITCH OUT it is
screwed to the door panel and it will break and cost another couple hundred
bucks lift the panel of and unplug the switch after the panel is off
usually the cables get rusty and break is why they quit

nosyjme says:

I have the same problem with my 01 sierra… STILL BEST MONEY ever spent on
a truck, I have 287,000 miles on it and it runs as good as the day I drove
it off the lot!!! Stuff gets old and breaks, at least it isn’t a ford or a
dodge!!!

Ken K says:

Need Help, I replaced motor, switch and still no luck. Do you have the
electric diagram for the power to window. Im at a loss and do not know what
to do now. email me if you could help! thanks Ken sasken@shaw.ca
