How to replace GMC Terrain headlight bulb the easy way

How to replace GMC Terrain headlight bulb the easy way. You only need one tool to replace the headlight in a 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 GMC Terrain. It is a T-20 Torx tool and there is only one bolt to take out. It is very easy to get to and you can do it without lifting the vehicle. All you have to do is turn the wheels out facing you, and you will have enough room to reach in and take out the one tore bolt, then remove the cover, and then remove the bulb.

Man you are a life saver thank you, I had to subscribe after that one.

My brother did it this way a few years ago, and I wasn't sure how, but I'm thinking maybe I can. Is it the same method for a high beam too? It's going to cost me $190 for a bulb, and installment fee to replace this light.

Thank you for making it a short video.

I was able to change the low beam light with our 2011GMC terrain with this amazing instructional video. I had a bit trouble with the passenger side because I’m right handed. Also screwing, taking out the main light bulb cover and light bulb itself has to be done blindsided. Thank you for sharing.

Why I can’t get my cover off to get to the low beam. I have been twisting and turning for about 10 mins

@seanoreiley48 says:

You have one of the best videos on changing these headlights, any chance you could show how to change a High Beam bulb as well?

@justinhardin1472 says:

Perfect video swapped both in less than ten minutes

Might be good to note that not all terrains have this panel, and on some of them like my 16 SLT, you will have to remove the whole fender well cover.

@nayshia128 says:

It worked for my passenger side . But for some reason the same entrance way isn’t on the driver side … help!

@reubenriojas6443 says:

yeah doesn’t really work if your Terrain has the splash cover which you have to remove to access the light bulb. That is when it becomes a bigger ordeal and not a simple solution like this

TO ANYONE DOING THIS JOB AND IT DOES NOT HAVE THAT ROUND ACCESS PANEL WITH A T20 TORX SCREW!

well my friend, a 2015 is different. i just did one for a friend in my driveway (though i am a licensed chevy, and ex nissan tech and this has happened before), but the 2015 did not have that access panel. in place of it was a recessed piece of the wheel liner with a push clip in it where that screw's threaded clip would be, and no round access panel at all. to access the headlight i had to remove the 3 clips along the wheel well edge of the bumper (one push clip, 2 – t15 torx) and the push clip in that recessed part in place of where you had the access panel. i then pulled the front of wheel well liner out a bit towards the wheel, and was able to access the back of the light from there. the headlight bit was all the same as your video though.

Thanks saved me from removing the whole damn bumper
