You just saved me a huge headache, clear simple instructions made it so
easy, especially telling me what tools I needed. Thankyou very very much 😀

Thanks for this video. I have a 99 suburban with a small split near the
upper drivers side of rad. I will take the time and do it myself. I will
clean and detail alot of surrounding area once things are removed so that
the finished product looks brand new. Thanks again

1A Auto Parts says:

@starbuary10 Hey Thanks, yeah we’re looking to reduce frustration and lower
the fear of doing it yourself.

J Powers says:

Do I need to flush the coolant if I plan to use green coolant instead of
the coolant i’ve been using(red)?

meburns93 says:

Is there any particular way to dispose of all the old fluids and the old
radiator?

DREW TRUJILLO says:

Thanks alot for the vid, great info and camera quality. But i noticed you
used the same hoses after removing them from radiator? Wont they leak? I’ve
heard they seal themselves and once removed they will leak. Thanks

1A Auto Parts says:

Pliers are pretty easy to use on these, and will save you a couple of bucks
too. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Martin Garcia says:

ok. i have a 1995 chevy silverado 1500. and its leaking coolant and i
noticed its leaking from the little drain hole. do i replace the whole
radiator. or do they sale the lil cap by itself?

201stcorp says:

Ya’ll kick ass! Thanks.

haefner777 says:

Just curious, when you were removing and installing the radiator hose
clamps instead of using pliers or channel locks wouldn’t the hose clamp
removal tool at a auto parts store work easier? Spring loaded, looks like a
pair of scissors

Firstev Laste says:

I have a 1994 Chevy 1500 and I need to replace the radiator support. How do
I go about doing this?

1A Auto Parts says:

You could try a little RTV on the threads of the plug. If the radiator’s
really old you may just want to replace it.

macuarro1000 says:

I changed the radiator on my 98 GMC suburban and now has a leaking of
engine oil from whom knows wear? The lines that go to the radiator aren’t
leaking

1A Auto Parts says:

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows this particular
repair on this vehicle. We’ll keep this request in mind in the event that
we need to make this repair in the future.

1A Auto Parts says:

@impolw22 Yes you will want to get as much of that DexCool out as possible.

blkwizzard50 says:

you need a camera man nice to be a 1 man team LOL but good job

MrJeepers22 says:

i just watched this video, then installed a radiator on my 1994 gmc sierra
z71. AWSOME video, extremely helpful, thank you very much sir!

1A Auto Parts says:

Your local dump should have a fluid disposal area that allows you to get
rid of hazardous fluids.

starbuary10 says:

pretty smart thinkin on your part…showin the novice how to do it on here
so he gives you his money in parts, instead of to his mechanic and whoever
his supplier is. good business sense and how to properly utilize technology.

Thanks for watching. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to look directly above the drip to see if you can tell where
it’s coming from. The radiator wouldn’t have anything to do with an engin
oil leak. If the radiator were leaking it would be either “Green” from
anti-freeze or “Red” from transmission fluid, if you have an automatic
transmission.

1A Auto Parts says:

If the radiator hoses are in decent shape you can reuse them. The band
clamps will prevent them from leaking.

DREW TRUJILLO says:

I have a 1991 Silverado, I have a radiator and a little tranny cooler
radiator?? This vehicle has radiator and transmission cooler all in one??
