When removing the rivets, punch out the centers then drill the head off.

We currently do not have an auto repair video on that particular part. We’ll keep this request in mind during any future repairs that we may make to this vehicle. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

1aauto says:

You may want to see if you can secure it in place with something, such as possibly some electric tape or a zip tire. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

One of the wires to my power window button controls is lose… its effects only my driver side windows… How can I repair it?

1aauto says:

You may want to check the wire harness between the drivers side door and body of the vehicle, there might be a broke or frayed wire in there that could be causing this situation.

Hello, first i would like to say great video and I subscribed to your channel. Second, I have a question for you. I have a 2000 GMC Jimmy 4 door 4wd. I have no power to any of my power windows. I checked the fuse, it seems to be fine as it is the same fuse that powers the light on the ash tray. Do you have any ideas as to why there is no power to any of the windows on all doors? Thank you.

mwcleaning says:

Thanks for this video. BTW, on my ’03 Sonoma, on re-install, I was able to squeak the forward regulator wheel into the track with the glass about 6″ from the bottom-in plain site vs. glass way up.

1aauto says:

You should be able to push the window up into place by hand, and support the window in the up position with a piece of wood. We can ship you a new right hand side (your driverside) window regulator if you purchase it from Ebay. The auction # is 350482338028 Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

1st Question: Is there a way i can manually wind up the window while i wait for the replacement part to arrive? (I have removed the door panel for access but the window won’t budge)… 2nd Question: If I order a Drivers side/Front Left side Regulator from you, would that be the correct part for me considering mine is Right Hand Drive?… 3rd Question: Do you ship to Australia?… Thanks heaps for any help, and love ya work guys… wish we had this kinda help Down Under…

DoOrDieSthSide says:

G’day, I’m from Australia… I own a Chevy Blazer 2001 LS, it is right-hand drive (It was made as is in the USA for direct export to Japan, which is where I imported it from). The front left-hand side (my passenger/your driver) power window is stuck completely down. I have the clicking noise which from reading your previous tips in the comments below suggests it’s the motor, so i will require a new Regulator/Motor assembly. *running outa characters so i’ll continue my Q’s in the next comment*

Thank you for your order Drew. Have a great day! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

This video is the best thing to happen to me in a while. First off, the shipment got to my apartment in Texas from Mass in 3 days for free. This video helped me take out the old one and replace the new one within 2 hours and for someone who is relatively a novice. Thank you so much for saving me a good deal of money! Oh and it comes with lithium grease on it from the warehouse so no need to think about what kind of car grease to use! Man you guys are great.

1aauto says:

Normally when you have to replace the motor you need to remove the entire regulator but for this one I am unsure if it needs to be removed or not. If it does, you can replace the rivets with nuts and bolts.

David W says:

I have a 2002 S10 with a bad driver side power window motor. The motor looks like it’s attached with rivets. Can I replace just the motor (as opposed to the motor and regulator)?..and can it be replaced without removing the regulator?..thanks.

1aauto says:

You might need to replace the window regulator if it’s damaged. We sell them on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

idontlike101 says:

I have a 99 Blazer, and the window works fine but it came off track (window is almost all the way to to the top) how do I fix it?

1aauto says:

It could be the motor, you may want to inspect the window regulator to see if it’s damaged. We carry new window motors and window regulators on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393 FREE SHIPPING in the lower 48 states.

I have a 2000 Envoy , Driver window works in spurts . It will go up or down a few inches , Then stops , After a few mins it will move some more, So it is slowly dying. Would it be the motor or the regulator that needs to be replaced . Thanks for your time.

1aauto says:

If there’s power to the window motor and it just makes a clicking noise, chances are it is probably a bad window motor. We carry the new window motor regulator assemblies on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393 Part Number: 1AWRG00112 for the drivers side.

Thelliott says:

I see how well you respond to questions, decided to subscribe, and thought I would just ask a quick question. I have a 2000 Blazer. The driver side window intermittently wouldn’t work, and now will not work period. When you press you hear a click in the door panel. What would you recommend as the first point of action, and if I do need to replace the regulator, would you recommend doing it myself (I am a complete novice) or get it done by a mechanic?

1aauto says:

It depends on the hourly rate of the shop. You may want to check the fuses to see if they’re all good and also check the wire harness between the door and body of the truck for a possible frayed or broken wire that could be causing this issue.

PAnderson2009 says:

I have a 96 Oldsmobile Achieva thats has three windows that do not work and one that is slowly going out, I am looking to get them fixed about how much does that cost if you take the vehicle to the shop?

Love you videos, but the reason I will shop at you online store from now on is because you respond to almost all questions and comments. Speaks volumes. You guys are awesome. Not only subscribed, but added a shortcut to your store to my desktop.

1aauto says:

You may want to fix the broken wires that are in the harness. You could solder them back together.
