Also, I ended up supporting the leaf pack with the jack when I did the other side. Didn’t go BOOM. Haha. But yeah, I’ll end up supporting the frame next time. Makes sense.

Mike Castro says:

Yeah, main reason I posted it was because it shows what NOT to do. Haha. There’s nothing on YOUTUBE that shows how dangerous this shit could be. I did it wrong, but the content is FUCKING great. Haha love you guys.

Haha right from the beginning i was like thats not where the jack stands should go when working on your suspension and then boom haha saw that coming

PlugDumps says:

Even tho you messed up a bit. Great video honestly thank you for making it. had no clue about lowering a 355 or pretty much any vehicle. Now I atleast understand how to lower the back ad what the blocks do! Thanks!

Almost Lost My Hand!

You should probably take this video off of youtube. Putting the jack stands under the axle puts tension on the leaf springs just like the truck is sitting on the ground with a loaded suspension. The stands need to be under the frame with the axle hanging free when taking the suspension apart… Somebody will watch this and follow your example and possibly lose a hand or worse.

Tim Heatherly Jr says:

Jack stands under the frame. Not the axle. So it wont pop off and almost fall on you like at 5:40

Thanks for showing me how not to do it hahahah

Jocelyn Rodriguez says:

you could taken your hand off i seen it befor cnt belive you dint put a jack direct under spring mount plate really

Mike Castro says:

I’ll make sure to get a vid up soon that shows the difference of the all around 3″ drop.

I actually failed to record myself putting the DJM LCAs.. That process took about 6 hours. hahaha
