GMC Yukon – Tune-up – How to Replace – Spark plugs – Wires – DIY Costs

How to do a tune-up on a GMC 2005 Yukon Denali XL with a 6.0 engine that uses a square block coil. I will show you how much it costs and how easy it is to replace your spark plugs and spark plug wires and some simple tricks and tips you should do. I’ve had this vehicle for about three months and it’s runs perfectly,. About 4 days ago I started to notice when I accelerate it hesitates, the first thing that came to my mind was that the fuel pump may be going out. I could do a fuel pressure test to make sure that it is a fuel pump. but I don’t know when the last time this vehicle has had a tune-up. So I decided to change the spark plug wires and spark plugs and fuel filter first, just to rule that out. repair pal says the average cost for a GMC Yukon XL 1500 spark plug replacement is between $227 and $279. Labor costs are estimated between $132 and $167 while parts are priced between $95 and $112. This Estimate does not include taxes and fees. You having a 6.0 engine is going to cost you more. So as you can see you can save some big money if you do it yourself. You can get these part at autozone or costless auto parts or on amazon or ebay. So this is video of how I change out the spark plugs and spark plug wires. But I’m 90% sure it’s probably going to be the fuel pump or system. So stay tuned for the next video.

1st do you have any engine codes? Why would start replacing parts for no reason? You can potentially cause more issues.

You took the time to make this video and talk about the tools you used. Good video but why not start by taken codes, checking fuel pressure, and checking the throttlebody 's condition?

BlvckRob19 says:

If there's a fuel pressure issue would an error code pop up for it?

Steve98 says:

No, no, no.

Do NOT use anti-seize compound on spark plug threads. The days of steel spark plugs getting stuck in aluminum heads are long gone due to the plating on the plugs now used by all manufacturers. When in doubt, read and follow the manufacturer's directions which do not include putting on antiseize.

I had my Blend Door Actuator changed for 2004 Denali XL but it still gives me heat on driver side all of a sudden. rest of the car is fine with HVAC. Blend Door Actuator get reset once I turn off the car and restart it. I start getting cool air again. Anybody else is also having this problem.

What if hesitation when start have new battery and new starter. Have never changed spark plugs or wires since I bought vehicle. Bad spark plugs could create it to hesitate to start correct?

huh what says:

Thank you ! I'm getting a PO303 code and I really hope it's something with the spark plugs, if it's something internal I'm screwed

Henry Danache says:

Mr. Ross says:
