old cars and trucks looking so rusted out, its all the salt shit, makes me
not want to drive anything but beaters because they dont last anyways

kierenmgp says:

A good ideas is to put the Tyre you took off under the truck so if it falls
it falls on the tire not you

Ethen Sellers says:

dave1135 says:

bill, two words, penetrating spray… bolts will come off a lot easier with
a little spray down

TheJeffw5 says:

That truck is probably worth more as scrap metal.

Land Designs Unlimited LLC says:

Great video Bill. Hoping to find the courage to work on my brakes in the
future.

Padraig O'Shea says:

Think it’s time for a new truck bill

RSAleft9 says:

in areas that snow… fuck me bill the truck is destroyed underneath!!!

mcgaugh57 says:

I could not imagine driving something that rusty.

RandyDarkshade says:

Might be a good idea to rub down the chassis and give it a quick coat in
Hammerite paint while the bed is off.

redneckbryon says:

Didn’t think your truck was that rusty, lol
Shows the importance of getting your vehicle’s undercoated, especially in
our climate and with all the salt on the roads.

super6954 says:

Hey Bill I hear Corb Lunds basing a new song on you, and working with a new
band. It’s Called my truck Got F@#$*d, and Sung by “The Ontario road salt
Boys” , L.O.L.
Glad you got real lucky with the bolts not all breaking off. I got a
tractor in the shop here in Manitoba for a customer. It originally came
from a municipal yard in Ontario. salt has eaten most of the lower
cab/floor and that was a bummer to get the cab off to rebuild the clutch
and gearbox, then I got to try put it all back half decent, when I’m done.

LogansGaming says:

How the hell did that pass it’s MOT

Sparky Projects says:

If you use the hook to replace the tub, hive each rope a wrap around the
hook, should stop it from slipping, but still allow you to adjust the angle
of the dangle ;)

JamesReadythe5th says:

Sandblaster and give her a coat of paint or undercoating.

Charles Lambeth says:

take me for a ride on your new bike.

Plumdog says:

Wire wheel all that surface scum off the truck and spray some undercoating
or black paint on it all and it’ll look so much better

bg147 says:

I have a 1996 c1500 and the line burst on me, and had to replace all of the
rear lines along with the hose, but never removed the bed and couldn’t if I
had tried due to rust. My truck is equally rusty… actually, mine is
worse, and the reciprocating saw was required to remove the one hose. I
think a farmer in Iowa owned mine and parked it in a barn where ground
moisture killed the underside while the body looks great. These trucks are
tough, the frames can withstand this level of rust and more, but I wouldn’t
overload or trailer a battle tank.

TheDisorderly1 says:

Bill, use a c-clamp to locate the rope on your forks so that it won’t
slide around on ya. Break out the pressure washer and give the
undercarriage a proper cleaning before you put the bed back on.

Kleck Vvvvvv says:

at what point do u quit thrown money into this truck

joshua orzako says:

Good luck with the truck bill. But i i would say get a new truck at the
moment you can before something critical breaks on the highway. last thing
you need is a motor vehicle accident.

devyn horvath says:

U should put a flatbed on it

kawasakikx8093 says:

Thanks bill u rock

frank gowings says:

RUSTED!

Zetor 7245 says:

A good steam-clean, let it dry off and a gallon or so of waxoil under-seal
would make that all look like new under there.

bcarbaugh says:

Holy crap look at that muffler, here in PA i have a flowmaster on my car for
5 years and only rust is on the welds
