Craig Ratliff says:

Julio: mine was making some rumbling sounds intermittently just while it
was sitting in the driveway in park. Replacing the mounts resolved my
problem.

Julio Flores says:

I want to replace mine but im not sure if that would fix my problem, what
would your truck do with those old motor mounts?

JORGE E Thomas says:

Hi, I have a 1990 w/t 1500, the motor mounts were in pieces, both of them.
Replace the motor mount of driver’s side, took me about 6 hours. I didn’t
emove the oilk filter and this way was harder. Yesterday, the day after, I
replaced the passenger side, the starter motor was in the way! I didn’t
want to remove the starter. My arms and hands became like snakes in order
to remove all bolts and put them back! I am old, 67 now, and working like
a mech for many years. I used to replace engines and motor mounts a lot in
cars before, but this time, could be the age, was harder! The engine makes
no vibration to the truck now, and feel better, because if send the truck
for this job, I will not feel confident! So, I know the work you did!
Thanks for posting your video!!!

James Jenkins says:

it looks to me that dropping the shock spindle bolt down would get a
little more clearance. probably wouldn’t take a minute…

William Santiago says:

I just did a 04 2500 6.0 and it was a bear.I didn’t take the wheel well out
nor the tire off but I wish I did because it would of been EASIER.I almost
took the a/c compressor out until I saw how much was involved.I jacked the
passenger side of the engine and wrestled that son of a b**** in place. I
don’t ever want to do that again. Great video little brother.
