GruvenParts now offers repairs for the GM door lock actuators. Its a very common issue on 2007+ GM vehicles. Google “gruvenparts door lock repair”

Good video. I love it when fixing one thing fixes two (or more). But before riveting the door lock actuator back on you should test that it works lest you rivet a bad part back on. Also check for friction on the actuator and the linkage separately before you assemble it back together. Otherwise you’ll feel the extra effort it takes to actuate the lock manually but you won’t know if it’s the linkage, the actuator or the lockset and you’ll have to drive out the rivets and start all over again.
Great video. My issue is similar except that my door will not unlock to open up haha. Any tips/pointers on opening the door or removing the door panel while locked? Do I have to remove the seat?
fuse and for the climate control issue (when turning the knob to any of the climate control settings [max a/c, a/c, front/floor, front, floor, floor/defrost, defrost] the defrost and floor vents only works, not the front vent). Do you know what the problem is with the climate control?
Hey sir, just a quick question: my mom’s 1999 GMC Safari SLE is having 3 problems: one is the lock actuator (passenger and driver door doesn’t unlock or lock until the person unlocks or locks the door with either a key or using a finger to unlock or lock the doors), the dome lights do not stay on without the front door(s) open, and the climate control died. I already know the door lock actuators need to be replaced, as for the dome light issue with the cargo and sliding door, must be a blown….

Nice video. My son has a 2003 Aztec that the driver side window will not go down at all though you can hear the motor and it sounds like something moving inside the door. Do you think the window might have come out of the track? Thanks and God bless.
I just bought an 03 tahoe and your video gave me some good insight on how to fix the passanger side problems. Except the side view mirror, window,and the locks are dead. Is there an electrical test that could be done before replacing the actuator? Thanks for the vid i just hope my problem is a cheap fix
