When a VVT solenoid is full of metal, simply changing out the VVT solenoid with a new one won’t fix the engine. The metal is from somewhere inside of the engine and unfortunately, it’s time for a rebuild or replace. The VVT trouble code and metal in the screen is the result of the engine failing.

Could be bits of metal from anywhere in the engine … Just replace the part. You could probably go another 80k If the car was running fine before.. eventually, every car will need a replacement motor.
Just put a new valve you'll be fine for another 80 thousand
