Our Revived Abandoned 80s Crew Cab Dually Stopped Running! Troubleshooting a GM HEI Distributor

This time on Sally’s Speed Shop we dive into the ignition system on our field find 80’s Chevy after it stopped running in our driveway. This truck only has 49,000 miles on it but had lots of electrical issues due to the wire addicated mice chewing on lots of the electrical items under the hood. This one is the first video my dad edited so let him know how you like it in the comments!

Coddiwomple Colster says:

Nicely edited episode, great work Tim. I'd love to see that rig restored a little, fix the seats, maybe some of the rust. But mainly, put to work doing truck stuff. Way too nice to be sitting rusting.

Gasratz Customs says:

LOVE IT!!!!!

bill salzman says:

Damian Jackson says:

That chrome glovebox door comment cracked me up, shifty old boys online, and the manny van that's hilarious.

Timothy Fendrick says:

so far I like your channel, but please be Quiet about the drinking or I'll have to unsubscribe. I am not telling you how to live, but I don't to have to watch it anymore either. I use to do it myself and I don't believe in it, sorry didn't want to hurt your feelings because I do like good car fix it shows, just my thoughts . . . Peace.

Judge has the Word says:

Hello if you decide to sale that truck let me know. I have a 6.0L with 56,675 miles on it. That would help the gas mileage. I'm in a wheelchair lost both my legs above the knees at my job in 1993. I have 2 H2 Hummers one has the motor with 56,675 miles. I had a wreck with it. The back end is what got hurt. The other H2 Hummer has 156,500 miles runs great. It is hard for me to get into. Older I get I'm 59 yrs old. I'm trying to trade it are sell is. So if you decide to sell it let me know are even trade the H2 Hummer 2004. I know you was talking on keeping it. I am just running this by you.

David Barnsley says:

Didn’t you see it when you revved it
On the passenger side huge sparks

Matthew Anderson says:

Should get a polishing wheel and compound and clean up those wheels they clean up great mirror like

Jim White says:

49 thousand miles? That interior looks like 349 thousand miles

agentcrm says:

IMO, look at what the tow rating is before you put the 5th wheel in.
Because I don't think those old trucks have a very high tow rating. (Yes I know people just ignore it, but insurance etc will screw them when something happens)

It is a really cool old truck, hope you can imporove that gas milage.

a456987 says:

Do you think a Holley EFI would give better gas mileage than the carburetor

Bryce Hunter says:

That service truck is sweet

Stryker Man says:

Editing sucked, sorry Dad, Jk. Good job. What did you guys do with all the jewelry you found in this?

Dependable Auto Truck says:

new dist would have been cheaper i bet
