Darko Milankov says:

Wait you mean install Maverick does not clear you of all your data and
applications, and one more thing, I have a problem with the app store, long
story, just a question of whether the same Maverick with torrent or app
store on all issues? Thanks in advance.

Katie Smith says:

my friend had told me that she didn’t loose anything besides her iMovie
videos and her photo booth was not capable of taking pictures. How can i
avoid these problems? I cant seem to be able to transport my iMovie videos
to my hard drive.

Chris p says:

im installing taking risk of losing everything :/

iTechriot says:

Good to know you got your MacBook working again. I did manage to get my
Macbook to GM2 from GM1. But GM1, GM2 both are not developer previews.
These are public versions. Also, with the new MacBooks released last
Tuesday, Apple also installed GM1. Normally Apple doesn’t update a GM
before release. What I’m trying to say is that there is no problem with
using GM1. Still, if you want GM2 in you MacAppStore there is are several
ways. Please send me an e-mail so I can explain how.

Alex Habba says:

nvm I think I got it now…

Obadiah Robert Robinson, Jr says:

proelement says:

is it compatible with 2007 mac and do i need mountain lion to do this
because am on 10.6 now

Sushma Nomula says:

thanks mate, btw how old are you???

iTechriot says:

You need to drag and drop the mac os x mavericks .app file (not the .dmg)
into your applications folder and install from there.

Kaytokjd says:

HERE IS THE SOLUTION: 1) launch Mac App Store and leave it alone 2) launch
finder go to system/library/core services and open SystemVersion.plist 3)
try to change something in system version and it’s going to say you have to
create another file. click on OK. 4) open new file. change version to 10.8
in the 2 bottom lines. 5) now save it. your new file will be in documents.
copy it

Kaytokjd says:

6) go back to Core Services. change original SystemVersion.plist file to
whatever you want. then paste you new file here( don’t forget to rename it
as SystemVersion.plist) 7) go to App Store. click on the ”BIG MAVERICKS
BANNER ON THE TOP” then click free. 8) it will ask you to enter your id
information. 9) it should start downloading. 10) when it starts to
download, quit from App Store.

David Verwer says:

Works perfect!!!! Took FOREVER to download… but i’m as happy as can be 🙂
Thanks man!

kot3 # Step Up /// says:

whether to record the Mavericks on usb-flash?

teeheeOner says:

does this method bypass app store login part?

Andrew Westlund says:

worked like a charm. major props to you!

eTechMaster22 says:

1) I don’t think so, but the final version and goldmaster are pretty much
the same 2) Yes

Mikael Schou says:

Thanks a lot iTechriot. Worked like a charm, even in Norway. Keep up the
good work! 😉

Elijah Naziel says:

This is exactly like updating from the official app store right? GM is
actually the same as the final release. When I update once the torrent
finished do I have to back it up or is it safe? I have many family photos
on my mac I don’t want to risk loosing.

MrTinyMen says:

What’s up with your really awkward hand gestures?….

iTechriot says:

1) No. Only with restore. You will lose al data. 2) Yes, you will get
updates

Kaytokjd says:

is this legal? Please answer, many people would like to know 😉

Fraser John says:

no, it’s apple intellectual property, same as using pirated software or
watching pirated movie. but because it’s virtual, unless you’re a huge
distributor or maker of these illicit content, no one will care. the worst
will be a warning letter from your ISP.

iTechriot says:

Your welcome, 14

Hans Peters says:

1. No. The GM and the Retail not only the Versions are the Same. The Build
Numbers are the Same! If you erase your HD an reinstall the Retail Version,
nothing Change, because its the same Build number. Your Data will be lost.
2. Updates like the Final Retail Version because Golden Master = Final
Retail Build 13A598 !!! Note: If there will be found a big BUG, The GM will
be go to beta again, and the Release will been late. A new Golden Master
comes up with a new Build and Released as Final!

iTechriot says:

Hi, Poalo. I’m not deleting your comments. When you post comments to much
YouTube will think it’s spam and i won’t receive it. Your message is now
well received. And I will do my best to help you but I can’t guarantee.
Could you send me a e-mail with the steps you took to the moment you got
stuck. Thanks.

Allen Ampueda says:

Rafael Galvez says:

TO DOWNGRADE ONLY RESTORATION AND RETURN TO LION?IS NOT NECESSARY?

Jude Rosen says:

Don’t you want a question mark?

BipolarBear Craig says:

It;s a slow torrent. I suggest going to thepiratebay.se and searching it
out. I’ve been using the beta for about 6 mos. and I would not go back. All
of software doesn’t work, but it doesn’t really matter. It starts up a
little slow. I am using the new 3.4 GHz intel core i7 with 32 GB of DDR3
running @1600MHz. I expect when the beta is over it will boot as fast as
Mountain Lion. When waking up the machine via Bluetooth it takes several
seconds and leaves behind ghosts of windows closed.

Loading PC says:

Hey dude I’m using Windows 8.1 Professional can i install that Mac OS X
10.9 Mavericks – Golden Master in my PC or Not pls reply dude i need you
pls . 🙂

Andrea de Polo Saibanti says:

I am confused. If I download from Apple Store the official 10.9 can I
update my OSX 10.8.5 and preserve ALL my folders, emails, bookmarks,
preferences and settings? From 10.6 to 10.7/10.8 yes, so why you say that I
will loose all my data??? That is VERY wired!!! Are you sure???????

Kaytokjd says:

Good tip, but we cannot install from recovery because first we cant
download mavericks from the appstore and so they say we cannot recover
mavericks as we havent purchase it…
