As a professional auto technician, I can say that my "faith" in the locally branded (the big 3) automakers is severely shaken. The failure of the good old boys to produce quality product is apparent to me each and every day. I personally have 2 hybrids (Prius) in our family and they are good; however, Toyota's political push and WOKE agenda contributions are not something I can ignore. My next vehicle will be a Tesla.

Ev's are almost 2X's as heavy as a ICE car. That is like everyone drivin a semi on the road……we can not keep the roads fixed now. What happens when all the EV's destroy roads and bridges faster than ever done before……sure they may be cheap to charge now…but they will HAVE to tax you into oblivion to just keep the roads fixed.

Bought my first Honda Insight, a 2001. 100.000 mile warrantee. First battery set failed at 70k or so Replaced by dealer. Second battery set failed at about 50k, $3500, those lasted 2 years or lest failed to many times to remember. Added a grid charger which was operated on110 home power. Charge would last a week or so. Car totaled at 250k. Second 2001 purchased 70k. Replaced batteries 110k, unk if prior owner replaced. Cost $2200. They are now showing failure. Under warrantee, waiting to get replaced. Tesla model 3 battery replacement is advertised at $30k.
Typical Biden fashion. He did not do his home work and now understands that middle class do not want these because of there cost, charging concerns, and the grid that will not sustain the draw EVs will put on the Grid. So now what Joe.
Install yourself and off grid solar system big enough to take care of your home and EV and you don’t have to worry about charging at stations. If you’re going on a 200+ mile cross country trip, take the gas guzzler. Oh, but you might have to stop eating out daily, filling your garages, outbuildings and storage rentals with stuff from communist China.
