HOW TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB FAST & EASY 2010 – 2017 CHEVROLET EQUINOX – LOW BEAM LIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT WITHOUT REMOVING HEADLIGHT!

Hey guys in this video, our headlight was only working on high beam but the low beam was not working in the passenger side.

We went ahead and got a replacement bulb from the auto parts store and we show you how easy it is to replace it! You can do this by yourself! Perfect DIY! It requires minimal tools!

We used a T-20 Torx screw & a 7 mm socket and ratchet!

First step is to turn your wheel to have enough clearance to get your hand in there.

Second step is to remove the clips holding the inner fender liner off use your T-20 Torx bit or screwdriver to remove the screws necessary to open it!

Third step is to look at the bottom and remove the 2 7mm screws holding it tight.

Fourth step is to remove the cap protecting the bulb.

Fifth step is to remove the bulb and re install it all in reverse order!!

My 2012 has a small removable panel just behind the headlight in the wheel well so I didn't have to take the entire wheel well guard out. Looking back on your vehicle I do not see that same opening. But it looks like a newer vehicles that have fixed this… Refer to this video for the cover.

Troy Smith says:

Great job on the demonstration however it’s ridiculous that you can’t go to auto zone, buy the bulb and change it right there while standing up.
That is way too much work and frustration for the avg person just to change a bulb.

A friend of mine asked me to change her bulb for her. After looking at your video, I’m going to tell her to take it to the mechanic because I already know it will irritate the hell out of me. It’s a damn shame that you can’t go under the hood like every other car out there. Thanks for your demonstration, you did a good job. I will pass this on to others who have the patience to do it themselves.

The 2011 model, maybe others, has an access cap that doesn’t require removing the whole panel. The access cap only requires the removal of one screw.
