Kimberlee Garcia says:

I have a 2016 malibu with push button start. Will this procedure work on my car? I wish I would have seen this video before I bought my pcu from someone else.

Uzziah Ovadiah says:

Does this work with the original key that was already programmed or is this for a UNprogrammed new key? The title relearning confuses me for it sounds like relearning an existing key. Sorry for my ignorance, but I have a new ECU and no new key only the original key and I would like to know before attempting it.

Astral Auto Repairs says:

NOT TO PUT ANYONE DOWN…

Normally we use Flagship one for our computers, and for the last two times we had to get a GM computer, and BOTH times they messed us up by the instructions they sent us. We were trying for at least 3 hours to get it to work (2003 Chevy Impala), contacted them, NO HELP AT ALL! The person on chat kept insisting we had something wrong with the car, even though the old computer started the car fine (was not sending signal to turn fans on).

We came across this video, and BAM, car started up on the first attempt. They had us just turning the key to the "ON" position, where you have us turning it to the "START" position. Just wanted to let you know that we will be doing a video about your company, and from now on, you have our business, THANK YOU!

TRINI RIDER says:

I have a 2011 GMC Acadia installed a new ECU and did everything in your video the car fired right up i took it fir a drive and everything works the problem is when i parked and came back 10 mins after it went straight back into anti theft mode i relearn they key twice and the same thing keeps happening any ideas whats causing it to forget the relearn process

Selah Ben Yahudah says:

Will this work for a 2012 Impala LT?

Preston Boling says:

i just replaced my pcm the security light turns on and off instantly like it did with the old pcm and when i crank the car the security light does not come on at all. is there anything i can do to make it turn on? i don't think it's possible to relearn the pcm without the security light staying in for the 10 minutes it's supposed to

Rolando Vento says:

I have a 2008 chevy silverado 1500, i bought a new pcm already programmed and tried this procedure, i did it twice but my truck wont start i there something else that could be affecting this?

Just found out when i install the new pcm that the crankshaft sensor needs to be relearned

MT Snow says:

My security light goes off immediately after letting key go to the run position. It will never remain on. I did the 3 sequences regardless, exactly to 10 minutes each…and car does not start.

Will Miller says:

Do you have Todo this with a TCM?

Amos RELLA says:

My cobalt ss ecm is bad if I just went and bought one for the same years as my car could I just throw it in and it would fix it ?

MAJOR KEYS says:

Hi boss i want to program chevrolet aveo 2011 new ecm can i just go direct to immo key programming on my device, or unless i do ecm program first

Michael Miller says:

Ive tried the process twice now, no luck. 2005 G6, Reprogrammed ECM to VIN, but cannot get security light to stay on. It monetarily lights, then quickly goes off. I run the 3x 10 minute segments. But no start. ( Previously car would random shut down, eng-disabled, pwr-restricted, error would appear. Wait 20 seconds it would restart. This is why Im changing ECM.) Also, I cannot keep battery charged during process, as all lights come on this car automatically. I tried a charger, cant keep up. Only way was to hook up another running car with jumpers. Do you think that could be an issue..? thx! Nice clear video.!

Argeny Sandoval says:

Thank you! Does this only works with brand new blank PCM's? Is it the same process if I want to install a junkyard PCM?

fire fighter says:

I have a 2004 silverado 2500 (not HD) 6.0 gas 4×4. It was running then shut off, I have the correct fuel pressure. It will crank but not start. replaced the crank sensor and cam sensor. No pulse to injectors, no spark from coils and no power to the crank sensor. PCM connectors had oil in them. I cleaned plugs and pcm with contact cleaner. Security light does not stay on. Key is very loose and can be removed at any position. Would this be a pcm, ignition or key problem?

Little Joe Fragrance says:

What if the security light never comes on?

Little Joe Fragrance says:

Anyone out there to help me with this I’m installing my my part now ?

ZdabmurZ85 says:

@All Computer Resources  I have a 2007 Chevy Colorado and truck cranks over and then cuts out… The anti theft came on so I replace lock sensor and tried key relearn process..my problem is why try to re learn the anti theft light NEVER turns off no matter how long I leave key in position…could this be a BCM problem??

mikesgarage says:

This is an old procedure, does not work on vehicles made after 2010 or global A cars and if you replace ecm with salvaged car will not ever start. Also teck 3 required for key relearning

Bob Mead says:

Hello! GM training video and GM service manual describe the passlock learning procedure differently from your video, without turning the ignition off between 10 min. cycles. On the other hand, you guys have a lot of practical experience. What are your thoughts on this contradiction? I have 97 Sunfire with passlock and I mentioned 97 GM Service Manual and 96 GM passlock system training video.

Angel Leal says:

I have another doubt..
This is the manual always relearn, but it can be made it with a scan tool as well, right?

Angel Leal says:

Nice video tech sr!
So… Basically for a ECM programming we only have to change de VIN and make a Key's relearn?
Greetings!

Jojo Graffsgnino says:

I have a 2012 Chevy Volt.
I am not sure what kind of key system I have because my key goes in a hole in the center of the dash and have a push button electric start button. Have not found a video for mine. I'm thinking it could be a passkey because there is no writing on my key which flips out for emergency when transponder fails to start. It has a groove cut right down middle shaped like a snake crawling?

Any body know what type of key I have please let me know!
