The key to making it work IS the FCC id. I had two of the exact looking
remotes. I knew one went to a Sierra, and the other a Silverado. But if you
look at the Fcc Id K)BUTlT {remote 15732803) it will work, the twin to it
that had the FCC KOBLEARIXT {Remote 15042968} I had no luck so far. Thank
you so much for posting this video 🙂 It was a huge help 🙂
This is fantastic. Local Chevy dealer wanted $85 to reset my FOB. This
worked for my 2003 Avalanche, so I would bet that it works for all full
size chevy/gmc vehicles. Thanks for the great post!!
Ok it worked but get this. My after market alarm works just fine (just
wanted to make that clear) I programed one key fob and it worked, so i
programed the second one and it worked but the first one stopped working,
so i reprogramed it and the second one stopped working…… lol….. So
much for having two key fobs with driver settings smh…… How can I get
both key fobs to work so I can have my driver setting still work for each
fob. This happened after I swapped door switches if that helps.
I have a 2000 Sierra and I get to part where the lock cycles after you turn
the ignition on off on off but then my remote won’t make the cycle happen.
I have tried it many times with no success. I have an aftermarket radio and
was wondering if that might be why the remote won’t program? Any help would
be greatly appreciated!
This process worked flawless on my 2003 Chevy Tahoe.Warning if your
programming a second remote it will affect the primary remote.Read the

No, I have an aftermarket radio in the truck you were watching the video
on. What you need to do is take the remote to your local autoparts store
and have them test the remote to make surer either the batter is not dead
or the transmitter is not bad(which is a free service). If the remote tests
ok, then check the numbers on the remote to the car. I believe the number
for the remote should be 15732803 and the FCCID Should be KOBUT1BT. The
FCCID is the main number that needs to be right.
Thanks , Chris . I hope you hit the lottery tomorrow .
Will this work on a Chevy 2004 Z71 4×4
Thanks man! Works great!
I owe you one!
You rule!

Must be a weak remote. Try a new battery.
Just go thru with the programming. Don’t worry about the horn.

Probably a bad remote or remote with wrong FC ID.
As long as the FCC ID is the same it should work…
Yeah maybe. How do you know is the right one. Wher can you check the id #..
Thanks bythe way for helping with the comments. Thanks
@oakrds187 Not the new body style.
