only problem i am having is with the tank straps. they will not fit,
spectra #123. bought them from a store and they said it was the right
straps. they go in the frame holes but will only go as far as the opposite
side of the tank. should i bend them in spots cause for some reason they
just don’t seem to fit

The 2 blue connectors will be used on the grey & black wires. The 2 pink
connectors will be used on the purple & black/white wires. It is better to
stagger cut the wires so that they will fit back into the wiring loom when
finished (makes this easier). After installing the new connector you can
use electrical tape over the connections. Then install the wires back into
the wiring loom & tape the loom back together also. If you run into any

If you cannot hear the pump running then it is either positive/ground
issues or a faulty pump. Check the power & ground at the pump. You should
have within 0.5 volts of the battery. Thanks.
thanks for the help, i found one with the same connections as my harness
with a little digging. looks like my wires my have been replaced before. if
this doesn’t work what else could it be. the relay and fuse has been
switched, it has spark filter has been replace under a year connections are
good. i’m just saying if, i figure it’s the pump cause it has no pressure
and it doesn’t make the whirling noise or no sound from the pump. thanks

What happens if u just cut a few inches of the old wires and install the
new full length pigtail?
okay got the fuel pump in, but didn’t expect the new harness. done car
radios and speakers just using electrical tape. using Airtrex E3953M pump,
1ST the four connectors, 2 blue and 2 purplish or maybe pink, which wires
do i connect them to. can’t really tell by the video. and when cutting the
old harness off do you have to cut them the way you did in 3 inch lengths.
worried i might cut them short. i don’t have a heat gun either what else
can i use, would electrical tape be okay.
We suggest to cut it the same length so that the new wires can be put back
into the wire shield & taped back up to try to keep the elements from them.
You can cut it at any length but if you cut it that short you just end up
with a lot of extra wire length that you have to try to put somewhere. Hope
