renny lien says:

Hi Gary great video …I have a 1980 2wd Blazer and the wiring has been
realy messed up by someone else I want to hook up the stock gauges they are
electrical volt, temp, gas, and oil is not where do I run my wires what
senders a etc. will I need??????????? Thanks for reading………..Renny

Gary Garcia says:

I do have the number, I forgot to list it, i’m looking for it, btw, if you
have the pigtail from the coolant level sensor, it plugs right in, also
check the oil pressure plug, I haven’t checked it, but I have a suspicion
it may be the same too

ramraf2222 says:

What wires did you use to connect the rev limiter to thanks

Gary Garcia says:

@08tbss27 its an elm327, 20 bucks Ebay

ramraf2222 says:

Hey sir ive got a 6.0 vortec that i put in a 1976 chevy truck and hooked up
the cts just the way u did but it wont work. Iam using an electric temp
gauge that i bought at napa and the needle on the gauge moves a bit as the
key is turned on but it wont register the temp. What might i be doing
wrong? I already tried 2 different gauges and i get same result.. thanks

BANDERASM6 says:

Its me again, lol do u have the part# for the pig tale for the sensor I
will be deleting my aftermarket sensor and use the stock gage since its
what I wanted in the 1st place Thnx

Gary Garcia says:

the part number for the pigtail is ec89.

BANDERASM6 says:

Very very good work, looks like I will be returning the aftermarket
electronic temperature gage I bought and go this route. Thanx a lot.

Gary Garcia says:

@BANDERASM6 the part number I listed is the correct three wire part, with
crush ring and 12mm threads, there is another part out there available for
same year, the threads are pipe thread and much larger, stay away from that
one. I only found it available at dealer, parts stores will be higher.

08tbss27 says:

What is the ob2 port device called

Gary Garcia says:

And there is no comparison to the v6, it stands apart

HAMMERHCA says:

I noticed on the torque apps MPG gauge it says average is 22. Is that
correct? What kind of gas mileage are you getting with the 5.3, and how
does it compare to the stock v6 you had? Thanks man

mxpeace says:

Would this work on any older type of gauge with 1 wire? (im thinking of
doing this on my 87 monte carlo) also doing a 5.3 swap.

flicksism says:

Where did you get the hook ups for the cell phone

Gary Garcia says:

@mxpeace my 93 is a one wire gauge, the 3 wire conversion gives you the two
top pins to run the computer, you can distinguish the pins because they are
flat and pointing to each other, the other pin is turned around and is
going to feed your one wire gauge, this is a cts (coolant temperature
sensor) AND and SENDER, internally they are seperated. hope it helps!

Gary Garcia says:

@hammerhca -yes the mpg is consistently over 22mpg, with the 5.3, I have no
stats to show for the v6, I removed it asap….

Gary Garcia says:

@ramraf2222 it sounds like the ohms may be too high on your new display, do
a little research and I bet that’s the reason…

Gary Garcia says:

@Flicksism -the adapter is an elm327, its Bluetooth to phone, download
torque app from play store. Very easy.

BANDERASM6 says:

Thank you, I will go pick it up

Gary Garcia says:

@ramraf2222 when you say rev limiter do you mean the tach? If so, the pcm
is supplied a twisted purple/green pair from the Trans vss, you can use
this to supply the tach or drac. What vehicle is this in?
