We rent and the ceiling in the bedroom just fell down and almost hit me.
Some nut laid drywall on top of drywall for the ceiling and when the roof
started leaking, it started to crack and about and hour later, down it
goes.
TONY,
Thank you 1 gajillion times; however, don’t expect a roll in the hay.

How to fix your leaky roof!
I was laughing and learning at the same time, for me that’s the best of
both worlds. Thanks for uploading this.
you use step flashing at the wall with a counter flashing
is glue and tar necessary or can I just use nails and shingles?
I wish you can come to my house and fix my roof it’s a really bad :(
its better to use step flashing on the side close to wall
Im in Omaha, that storm that came through sundat 5/11/14 took some shingles
right off so im going to try and save my mom some money!
IDK why they even make shingles for, why not tar paper shingles when wind
can’t blow them up, shingles are so cave man any more

google case shiller study.house prices were studied since
1892,conclusion,houses are not an investment,just a place to live.people
who sink money into them lose big time.question… if you bought a house in
1980 for 50k and sold it recently for 135k,did you make a profit.the
correct answer is no due to inflation ,you just got your 50k back.yes its
true you had a place to live, but taxes, upkeep.

@tooldudetony my roof is for a storage room. its about small-medium size,
so would that be less? als its not connected to to the house.
I pretty much just swept them up with a broom or scooped them out of the
gutter. There are magnets on wheels that you can run around the yard and
pick the ones you miss out of the grass. Thanks for asking.
It’s WeatherLock G Self Sealing Ice & Water Barrier. I got it at Menard’s.
It costs about $50 per square.
your step flashing is wrong
Hi Tony. I just checked out your video. Great advice to the do it
yourselfer . My advice don’t be afraid to do your own repair.I did my first
roof when I was 10 years old, My dad started me off and I finished it off
after school. Now I am doing my last roof at 64. I tried to quit when when I
was 50 but folks were having problems and you can’t say no when you live in
a small community. I am looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
Chuck.
dude nice one on the read between the lines for the insurance company
@linxcod — This can be done either wet or dry. In this repair, it had
rained after I had stripped the roof. I did what I could to prevent leakage
during the storm. You are correct, the appropriate sealer must be used if
the roof is wet.
Hey Tanarus, that will work. The pros will frown on it, but the job will be
done.
