The GM Transmission issues continue to get worse. It appears the Recall does NOT include all vehicles that it should, 2024s are failing and GM is replacing valve bodies with the same faulty valve body they installed previously. This is now including 2020-2024 and likely some 2025s, it needs to be resolved.

Hi guys! Next Gen here. I’m the engineer who designs all of our parts and hear me out – GM CAN PAY FOR OUR PARTS IF YOU’RE UNDER WARRANTY!
You don’t have to pay, but GM is not volunteering this information. Nearly 1/3 of orders for these kits are going to GM dealerships.
If your vehicle is down, tell the dealership to call us. One of our sales reps (Ask for Will) has managed to get dealers/GM to foot the bill for people under warranty.
IF YOU’RE UNDER WARRANTY, YOU DON’T HAVE TO PAY! Our kits have put thousands of people back on the road and we just want to help.
Be safe, and great video!!
Lawsuit, lawsuit, lawsuit………..
Sorry GM, after 28 yrs I’m going with Ram,,,,,
A lot of dealerships will tell you that you don't need any work done yet ill GM for having done the work
Ford's are doing it too
American rubbish. That's why Europe doesn't import your crap! Sell it to your orange president.
Oh interesting. Toyota had a recent truck engine problem as well. They probably just issued a recall that installed new software right? Whats that? They actually fixed the trucks? GM is still a garbage company with garbage products that the taxpayer never should have bailed out.
Have a 2019 Colorado 84k miles and it is a constant shake at 65 to 75
Thanks EPA!
Long live the Powerglide and Turbo 350/400. SKIP all this new CRAP!
Stop buying cheep trucks
what about 24 sierra 1500 2.7 turbo does this have any issues?
I had a 2018 that started to chatter… Dealer said the stock transmission fluid had too much moisture in it and to drop the pan and replace fluid with Mobil 1 synthetic 2 or 3 times …… Eliminated the chatter and weird shifting !!!
The Allison 1000 6sd was a reliable transmission behind a stock Duramax! This GM/Ford "Allison" branded unit is giving the Allison Transmission Corp a shit-stain reputation, that they don't even deserve! The Allison management team that decided to license out there Name were idiots!
Made in Mexico.
Made with 3rd quality parts sourced by accounting. Same with all mfrs now not just GM. Well maybe the ZF are still good.
Stop buying American.
Poor quality is a DELIBERATE engineering choice. Even in ancient times like the 4L60E era the CHOICE to sell poor quality transmissions (small clutch packs, plastic pistons which should have been aluminum etc) was a knowing deliberate act to shave production costs.
If anyone unafraid of learning reads this, the most empowering and money-saving skill you can learn is DIY vehicle maintenance and repair (which opens many other DIY doors…) Buying new vehicles is almost always financial idiocy as the current wave of repos demonstrates. Buying older maintainable vehicles used then keeping them for decades saved me tens of thousands of dollars better spent paying off my home.
