They are just trying to get the last of the seriously anti EV people with cash to dump it on big fast gas powered cars before they aren’t sold anymore. Same reason Chrysler is sticking their 6.4 litre in everything from pickups, to Wranglers. Just trying to capitalize on the fomo attitude around the market change
The world is gone insane when it comes to cars. Too many people think EVs are the saviors of the world, they aren't. On the other hand, you have companies like GM not even trying with 11mpg. There is a happy medium there, they need to focus on that.
11mpg? I have 3 vehicles that can’t get within ten percent of that. The one vehicle I have that gets good mileage got left behind when I moved. I’m probably going to sell it and buy a Jeep that get about 11.
It helps I don’t drive much. It also helps that fuel is a negligible part of my budget.
And guess what…this isn't even close to being the most expensive SUV that you can buy!
Maybe they’re reasoning is buy something before the bank does bail ins and they get nothing for that stash of money. The rediculously rich think differently.
