That happened to my daughter's Expedition. The water pump leaked into the oil pan. They must have caught it when it first started. The mechanic replaced the water pump and flushed the engine. That was six months ago, and the engine seems to be fine now. I never would have gotten that lucky.
When your oil is milkshake, then your motor ran for an extended period with water as your lubricant. There is zero chance there isn't internal damage… most likely everywhere.
