Search YESWELDER WINNER HOW TO
Go the dodgy route if u like but dont defend it when no effert to reform rust was made… est cost $4 or so more, but, u do u brother!
dude you couldnt have at least put some rust paint on it first? thats going to just hold water in that spot and that rust is going to get even worse, and its a wheel arch so there is water at the very least maybe salty snow getting tossed up in there so this entire idea is just a bandaid i guess regardless of how its done.
This is to make the car look pretty to sell or will it stay in place for a long time?
How long does it last though?
step one apply way too much then sand it all off
I wouldn’t feel right doing a job like this.
Arr memories of my time in "some" crash shops as a painter. A couple of my bosses would do used car work just when crash and restoration work was quiet. It kept the businesses afloat but I HATED what they did because I saw people pay good money for a used car and in 18 months it was blowing bubbles. There IS a way though to make the fibreglass stand filler last almost for ever, like a weld in repair patch. I cheated a repair on the window of my XY Falcon but I ground all the rust off, die grind the perforated rust holes and applied rust converter. Then used filler and fished off paintet looked 100%. BUT I also brushed primer and bitumous undercover sealer on the back of the repair. I had that car 18 years and the repair was 100% good still simply because it was sealed off from moisture. I saw panel beaters cut and weld patches on rust repairs and NOT seal off the inside and the welded repair rusted again in 3 to 5 years. I had new door skins fitted to my car by a beater and in 12 MONTHS they were rusting around the seams they were ruined. So kids, "sometimes" a cheat can be not so bad! Good video cheers
Looks like you work for maaco painting !! Cheap and fast quick half ass job !!! Looks good only for a couple months !
I see you went right to bare metal with the glass. Is that the correct way or only what they paid for? Sometimes people primer first. Which way is right?
I just can't believe that you would post a video of such sh** work.
Whats the easiest fiberfiller you have used to sand i got to do.some small repairs and have never used this stuff
to all the mister perfects then fix it yourself
Everybody is talking about used car dealers when it's the used car customer that wants the cheapest price possible. A dealer would never get his money back, spending 1200 to patch a small hole. You can tell a customer you put 1200 into the body, and they will still ask for 2500 off the listed price, lol
Remind me not to go to that used car dealer
I usually use the paper from the stickets Sand paper to do that they are waxed
This ain’t your fault brother, but it’s seriously unfortunate that used car dealerships do this. Making your do work you’re not proud of.
