Rick Steeb says:

Try dropping a Fiero V6 oil filter. Yeah…

Kristian Lewis says:

Must have been a good filter with a real back flow valve.

Ronald Elkins says:

the oil that came out of the 1st hole was on the inside of the filtering system. When you loosened the filter and it had oil running out, that was the oil on the outside of filter. It you would have punched a hole in the side of the filter, that would have drained all the oil

Joe Ronewicz says:

Need to go deeper chief

Grim Reaper says:

OK side note here. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT FILTER BEFORE POKING A HOLE IN THE OLD FILTER. You've been warned. ⚠️

HardestGainer says:

Need 2 holes bro one for ventilation

Michael R says:

Did you drain the oil out of the oil pan first??

Alpine Services says:

Loosen the filter a tiny bit, punch the hole, loosen a little more to let it get air and drain easier. Then put your finger over the hole as you spin it off so you don’t get covered in drips. Also making sure you can actually get the filter loose and that the new one is the same because it sucks having a hole in the only filter that fits.

Douglas Fick says:

You think this is a secret of something we don't know? Really? This is elementary.

Paul George says:

Try draining the oil first. Then punch a hole in it. How the fuck did you think the oil in the engine wouldn't drain through it? I guess you Got the comment with this pathetic attempt.

deleted says:

Needs to be longer to go through all the filter media as well as make sure oil cap on the motor is off so it can breath

Joe says:

Need a bigger hole. 1/4" or bigger. Sludge will plug it if it's a bad one
