Mark Smith says:

So I just put in all new plugs and coil packs in my 4.6 2003 Crown Vic, using the Ford parts you recommend. I am getting a misfire on cylinders 1,2,3,4-all on the same(passenger) side of the engine. I am using the FORScan software. I am at a loss as to where to start looking for the cause. BTW, the car has 78,000 miles on it. Can you point me in the right direction please? Thanks so much!

big boss says:

Nice job on vid and info. Subscription earned!

jojo jack says:

Funny I can't seem to find any coils on the plug wires on my 4.6. I guess Ford must have forgot to put them on it.

Charlie Jefferies says:

i have a 03 f 150 no crank no start. when i turn the key i hear a click but the inside and dash lights turn off. what could it be

T Garcia says:

How's it going. I recently replaced plugs and coils on 2000 expedition and trucks not starting after replacement. I did the same procedure that u performed.

David Arroyo says:

Great video, i was able to removed everything on 1 hour

Susanjean Hassett says:

Tech; I have had many E series vans and had one plug blow out. I followed your video on that repair with success. Thanks! Now here is a question; Would it be "practical" to swap a V10 engine with TorqueShift 5 speed into an E350 with a 5.4 OD4speed? I also want 4:10 axle. If so, How would all this be coordinated electronically? Thanks

John Geary says:

Always use anti seize

Elliott Kara Brannon says:

Im glad to see a good mechanic using craftsman tools snap on Mac and Cornwall are way overrated

Greg M says:

Very helpful, thank you! All I had to remove was the air intake. The swivel spark plug socket is a must! Installed Motorcraft plugs and coils. Took less than 2 hours. Would have been faster but cleaning out the spark plug area takes time. Make sure you check inside the tube after taking out the coil but before removing the plug. If I hadn't done that I would have gotten debris in the combustion chamber.

Bearded Nomad Vanlife says:

I'm currently in the middle of changing plugs, coils, and injectors but back plug on passenger side is seized and won't come loose and if I break it I'm screwed is there any tricks to get it loose as pb blaster doesn't seem to be working

Cee Lars Jr. says:

Is it okay using canned air(like computer duster air cans lol) if you don’t have a tank with compressed air.

Herb Nalis says:

Steel bent drinking straws are good for blowing out dirt.

Lance Fulton says:

I can attest to Motorcraft only on these coils. Aftermarket last like 15k miles.

Daniel Perez says:

Motor Craft, thanks.

Patch T says:

Nice… Excellent video… had a spark plug blow out August, 17 2017 on number 3 cylinder on a Ford E-150 4.6 L. Had to drill and tap a new threaded insert fix the stripped threads. 1 hour job.
I used a Ford Cylinder Repair kit and have 7 plug inserts left that I don't think will need again. best Regards and respects for how you help everyone… Great work!

Richard Foote says:

Show how to replace the drivers side and passenger side back coils, no one needs help replacing the one easily accessible coil

Gregory Harrison says:

Autolite plugs look and perform exactly as the Motorcraft plugs. I used Autolite double platinum plugs.

neilschlemeel says:

When reinserting the plug, I always, ever so gently, turn it as tho I'm removing it (counter-clockwise) so the threads will catch (you'll feel it drop into the groove) then clockwise until finger tight,, then torque it down – never had an issue with cross-threading

David Hoy says:

Great video, thanks for doing it. Have an ‘03 super duty, 5.4, 6 speed manual, 85k, religiously maintained, not a daily driver. Owned it 10 years. Pulling a empty 20’ car hauler when the rear most plug blew out of the head. Having heard about this issue, 10k ago, had all the plugs switched out to avoid this happening. The mechanic claimed to be familiar with the problem. He is out of town, I am “dead in the water”. Any particular advice, in addition to your fine video?

brian blithe says:

So just for clarification it is ok to unplug the PCM/ECM 13:18 without any problems ??? ive never unplugged mine and it is hard to get answers on what it could do wrong ???

Dee Trunel says:

I had a Ford car.I bought Motorcraft spark plugs for my car from the part store. They said it recommended. Those the plugs that goes with it.They didn't last a week.I had to replace them. And their cold plugs
