Evan Schneider says:

Because people won't change their trans fluid every 30 to 50k miles that's where all the problems come from

coyote 50man says:

The only reason the 6R 80 or the 10r 80 will not outlive the truck is if the transmission fluid is not changed every 30,000 miles along with the filter. Those transmissions use Merc on LV fluid. You must change the fluid.

Ruben Hernandez says:

Got a 2011 ford f 150 eco boost (work truck) hitting 315.000 miles and the biggest problem was coolent leak and starter went out so in total I have spent $5000 in repairs.

Cipher Code says:

Everyone always changes their engine oil, but how many neglect their other fluids? Then they wonder why they have problems when the mileage gets high. Change your transmission fluid and filter, and if you tow consider seeing if you can get a high capacity sump pan. I know theres a high capacity kit for that 6spd ford that offers almost double the capacity. Heat is great factor in automatic transmission life and itll kill em as much as never changing your fluid. Change your coolant, diff fluids and brake fluid as well at their recommended intervals, or more frequently if you tow alot. The small cost and inconvenience now will save you big in the future.

Chris Harding says:

Factory remanufactured transmissions are not as good as a properly rebuilt transmission from a competent builder. The transmission used in those trucks is a license built zf transmission. Manufacturer reman transmissions do not get all of the aftermarket updates and fixes for common problems. Sonnax is one of the best companies for solving problems never addressed by the oem manufacturers.

Mark Freese says:

Your voice is annoying….

Karl Walter says:

Yeah my ford came with a book and a CAP

bill watkins says:

The amount of hot air and garbage you spew is only matched by your methed out movements and over exaggerated hand and jaw movements. Not sure how you're even still allowed to create content.

Albert Martin says:

Ford is the best Truck you can buy

Steve Eaton says:

You didnt do your homework….tsk tsk.

laura hefner says:

F.O.R.D.
Found On Roadside Dead

Chris Trapp says:

My 2010 5.4 lariat has 166,000 miles. I suspect it will blow up sooner than later.

thegamingaron the says:

Ford cars has very weak transmission system out of all car manufacturers.

Austin Goleman says:

150k time for timing chain kit

Tony Pitsacota says:

I've owned 3 F150's: Gen 10, Gen 11, and Gen 12. All three of them have had leaky rear windows. Good thing is that I get to scrape frost without having to leave the drivers seat. 🙁

Mitch Barredo says:

They are driven the crap out of. They are not made to be driven so aggressively,

1ute says:

the 3.5 ecoboost with the twin turbo is great! i think the truck is okay if you get a normal transmission and 3.5 engine

Rick Langevin says:

Looks like you bought the wrong one. I got one with 138,000 miles on it hardly anything ever done to it it happens.

jrcll says:

was it a 6R80 tranny … cause those trans are very reliable, definitely not a weak item on the truck, do not need to replace at 150k other than change fluid
