I have a 08 f150. That wasnt even close to how to do it. And you missed a whole bunch of tools.
Why do you need to keep the plastic can you not just reassemble without it?
Have a part number for that plastic
Again, magic door rods. They just fall right off, and put themselves right back on. You jokers missed a major step. You should be ashamed.

Great video! I have a question for anyone interested in answering. Why not just cut a slit in the plastic big enough to remove those few bolts? You can easily tuck tape it after and then wouldn't have to deal with ripping off all the plastic and putting it back on in the right place. Plus tuck tape is ultra sticky and it's literally designed to seal Vapor Barrier anyway.
I ran into a different problem, I thought it was the door handle. It ended up being the rod had become disconnected from the plastic locking piece on the rod. Thanks for the video.
What about the drive’s side? I have to replace mine because the handle is broken, and I need to swap out the keyhole into a replacement handle.
