Ummm the thrust washer goes behind the wheel bearing with the grooves touching the axle shaft. You put that in wrong bud. Also it goes washer, hex washer, washer, and snap ring that’s the right order.

Terrible video. Don't waste the time to pop the bushing on your top ball joint, once you get the ball joints out, the bushing will move freely. Simply pull it up before reinserting. ALSO, The plastic washer goes behind the hub, grooves facing the axle seal. Then you put your hub on, then your washer, hexagon peice, then another washer, then your snap ring. I have to pull everything back apart now for a $7 washer.
Can someone please help me with the shims and washers. I put the grooved washer on, then the shim, then the carbon fiber washer, then the shim, then snap ring. But the axle isn't far enough to get the snap ring on… I need about an 1/8 and I cannot get the axle to budge or push out at all…. It's been a week now. Please help

Just got done with the rebuilding of my 2000 Ford F250 Super Duty front end with 250k miles. Bushings were way easier to get out than get on, but that’s due to the press I bought from Harbor Freight! That’s what gave me an issue being the C-clamp needed to be a little bit bigger to work with what comes in the set to seat with the bottom bushing. These videos definitely helped being able to complete the job being the first time at it. Thanks A1auto giving me another skill under my belt.

Are there always washers behind that snap ring on axle? Mine doesn't, but it looks like there is room for washers. Have watched other videos where there are washer and other videos where there aren't. Trying to figure out if I need to put washers back in mine or if they actually don't belong on mine. 2001 f250xlt 7.3 4×4
I don't think they reassembled the thrust washer properly in this video. The manual shows the slotted washer going in inbetween the hub assembly and the axle shaft with the slots flat up against the flat side of the axle shaft and then the actual thrust washers going in on the inside of the hub (after reinstalled over the axle shaft) in the order round – hex – round, then snap ring. Video has all washers going inside of the hub which I believe is incorrect. Please advise as this is extremely important if it goes in wrong. Thank you.
Great video. But unfortunately he put the thrust washers in incorrectly. The plastic washer with the 4 grooves goes between axle and the hub. To prevent metal on metal. Inside the hub it’s suppose to be shim, octagon washer, shim then snap ring. There’s another video showing the correct way. Plus a parts diagram from Denny’s off-road.
Any other cool tricks.. because after over an hour with the air hammer. Bushing hasnt moved.
90% 2 things I noticed besides the incredible amount of rust, 1) The tie rod end nut should have had washers under the nut to place the cotter pin hole in the correct capture. 2) those are 100% the WRONG lug nuts for those wheels and can be very dangerous. Otherwise, this is a very helpful video and done very well..
the large fiber washer/spacer goes on the axle end on the inside of wheel hub, in Video you put it on the outside behind the snap ring

I've never removed the camber bush, why does it need to be removed? I just whack the upper ball joint castle nut and the knuckle drops right out.
