I have a 2006 Ford Focus Station Wagon and things are a bit different. The longer ceiling console which has a sunglass holder and garage door opener holder has 5 screws holding it and they all have to come out so the console will come off and give easy access to the torx mounting screw. There is no cut out for your Torx driver access so the console comes out. I did not need to disconnect the power plugs to the light assembly. To get the bit into the torx screw head I had to get the bit into the socket and then keep frontward pressure on the extender shaft of the rachet set. It seems as though you cannot get the torx driver at 90 degrees straight into the socket but you can and once it is in you can loosen the old base by holding the base and the torx driver simulaneously by embracing the front windshield pillar. Reinsall the ceiling console starting with the light end.
You don't need to tighten it that much when putting the antenna on the mount, hand tight is just fine it's not going to fall off. overtightening it like that you run the risk of breaking the new mount of the internals in the flexible part of the antenna, either would result in a useless antenna.
What if u loose the screw that goes into the base
Could you include a wireing portion ?
