Let’s replace the side mirror on your Ford F-150 in under 5 minutes! This video will work for the Ford F150 years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and possibly some 2019 and 2020 models. It’s a super easy and straightforward process.

TOOLS:
-A socket wrench set (or just a 10mm socket, ratchet, and extension)
-Flathead screwdriver

PROCESS:
Open the door with the Ford F150 side mirror to be replaced. Use a plastic interior trim removal tool to gently pull off the triangular cover panel opposite the side mirror. (Or, you can use a flathead screwdriver, or something flat, but you have to be careful not to scratch the interior of your car since the metal will be a bit harsher to use and pry the panel open) .

Behind the panel, you’ll see 10mm nuts and two 10mm bolts and an electrical connection. Do not disconnect it right away because it’s what is holding the mirror from falling to the ground. So, you’ll want to make sure you either keep the electrical wire plugged in or have someone hold onto the mirror so it doesn’t drop when you unplug it.

Next, unscrew the bolts and gently pull the side mirror off your F150 truck. You may have to wiggle it a bit to get it loose. This definitely has to be one of the faster mirror removals we’ve done this far, so hope you enjoyed this tutorial!

To install a new F150 mirror, just follow the video in the reverse order. We kind of walk you through that in the video as well and it’s as easy as taking the side view mirror off the door.
