Never done the installation on a Ford; but I have done the install on my son's Grand Cherokee and my wife's M-class SUV (twice – 2 different SUVs). Why pay for the install if you can DIY. Make sure you have the proper kit and dry fit everything. Agree with 'farmer's' comment – don't tighten bolts until it's fully assembled / installed. There's tolerances on the bolts/studs/nuts/holes – that you may need to accommodate.
