if you have good calipers u can push the piston back in with a screw driver
or bar before you remove the calipers or keep doing it the old way with C
clamp
@reddpeaks42 If you don’t feel good about the repair take it to a
professional. If money is an issue, especially with brakes, it is better to
carry some extra credit card debt for a while than risk your life.
does this work for f150?
Great video,thanks!
@laloviillegas Does your 94 have drum rear brakes. The drum pulls off and
the brake shoes are on the inside. Similar to my video for cavalier and
sunfire drum brakes.
You guys ROCK! Thanks for the tips. Stuck rear rotors suck.
Your videos are very helpful to me. I have had to rebuild the brakes on my
ford explorer at least 3 times due to failure of the parts. Advance auto
has replaced the parts under warranty but our northeast winters wreck havok
on the brake parts. Just got my rear brakes done and when I hit the
emergency brake the cable snapped. Oh well. Ford Fixed or Repaired Daily LOL
When I tore the emergency brakes apart tonight I found out that the drivers
side rear cable broke at the loop that connects to the emergency brake arm.
Man these cables are cheap! Bought some new cheap ones cause I’m getting
rid of the car. LOL
Some brake caliper grease will work great.
I have a 95 ford contour, the caliper has froze up on it will need rotors
and pads. This will be my first time doing this so so far your video’s are
very helpful. I’m scared.
We carry some really nice brake pad an rotor kits for you guys. Thanks for
watching. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Some of the basics may be the same. We currently do not have an auto repair
video for the rear disk brakes on a F150.
Thanks this was an great video I ordered part from 1 A Auto.com and
replaced the brakes on my own saved me 300 bucks…you guys should do a
video on how to replace an oxygen sensor the explorer too.
great job thanks for the help
What type of grease did you use for the emergency brakes?
